Notch, lock and get ready to rock with ‘Hawkeye’

We could all use a bit of a Marvel Studios fix at the moment, and a brand new spot and poster for Disney+’s Hawkeye are sure to do the job.

Disney+ and Marvel Studios invite you on an unexpected holiday getaway, unwrapping a brand-new teaser trailer and poster today for “Hawkeye,” a new series set in post-blip New York City. Former Avenger Clint Barton has a seemingly simple mission: get back to his family for Christmas. Possible? Maybe with the help of Kate Bishop, a 22-year-old archer with dreams of becoming a Super Hero. The two are forced to work together when a presence from Barton’s past threatens to derail far more than the festive spirit.

Teasing the forthcoming holiday season, this new spot jumps straight into the action in Hawkeye as master archer Clint Barton (Jeremy Renner) and his new protege Kate Bishop (Hailee Steinfeld) set on a wild chase throughout New York City that packed to the brim with equal parts Christmas cheer and explosions. Add in the presence of Rogers: The Musical, the new Broadway smash and we’ve got something very fun to look forward to.

This new spot builds off of the action of the first trailer, and I’m well excited to see Jeremy Renner back as Barton/Hawkeye. Add in the presence of Steinfield and their buddy-cop rhythm, which is reminiscent of the classic Riggs/Murtaugh Lethal Weapon dynamic and we’ve got something very fun to look forward to in Hawkeye.

Alongside the new spot, we also have a brand new poster that showcases Barton, Bishop and Lucky the Pizza Dog ready for action. And they’re sporting the purple suits to boot!

Hawkeye is set to launch on Disney+ with its first two episodes, of a highly anticipated six-episode event series, on November 24.
