Here’s the official synopsis:
Brilliant, but reclusive author Loretta Sage (Sandra Bullock) has spent her career writing about exotic places in her popular romance-adventure novels featuring handsome cover model Alan (Channing Tatum), who has dedicated his life to embodying the hero character, “Dash.” While on tour promoting her new book with Alan, Loretta is kidnapped by an eccentric billionaire (Daniel Radcliffe) who hopes that she can lead him to the ancient lost city’s treasure from her latest story. Wanting to prove that he can be a hero in real life and not just on the pages of her books, Alan sets off to rescue her. Thrust into an epic jungle adventure, the unlikely pair will need to work together to survive the elements and find the ancient treasure before it’s lost forever..
Taking the tropes of classic romantic novels and throwing them headfirst into a crazed jungle adventure, The Lost City is a barrel of laughs and stars Sandra Bullock and Channing Tatum appear to be having the time of their lives with this project. Bullock makes a great impression as the brilliant, but reclusive romance novelist Loretta Sage who doesn’t know how to let loose, whole Tatum is hilariously funny and vapid, shallow and somewhat dim-witted cover model Alan who can’t see the line between fiction and reality. Soon there thrust into the middle of the Amazonian jungle and that’s where things get interesting as they undertake a while and crazy adventure to find a mythical treasure that was once thought lost forever.
Both the comedy and action work out perfectly in this first trailer for The Lost City and the laughs will make you giddy. Bullock and Tatum have a great back and forth and the presence of Daniel Radcliffe as jittery billionaire Fairfax also leads to some top-class hilarity. Plus there’s a wild cameo appearance in the film that is sure to leave audiences doing a double-take, as does Tatum.
Get ready for plenty of fun when The Lost City arrives in cinemas on March 24, 2022.
