Here’s the official synopsis:
Moon Knight follows Steven Grant (Oscar Isaac), a mild-mannered gift-shop employee, who becomes plagued with blackouts and memories of another life. Steven discovers he has dissociative identity disorder and shares a body with mercenary Marc Spector. As Steven/Marc’s enemies converge upon them, they must navigate their complex identities while thrust into a deadly mystery among the powerful gods of Egypt.
Directed Mohamed Diab and the team of Justin Benson & Aaron Moorhead, Moon Knight is shaping up to be an entirely new type of experience within the MCU. Drawing on questions of identity, mental health, reality and vigilantism, Moon Knight will floor the throttle with its intense action sequences and promises long time MCU fans a very wild ride.
In the conflicting roles of Steven Grant/Marc Spector, Oscar Isaac looks well matched for the part and his dramatic talents have been put to good use as he brings to light the crazy new hero that is Moon Knight. From the wimpish Steven to the brooding Spector to the psychotic Moon Knight, Isaac appears to have captured the essence of this dark and brooding character, and audiences will be in for something entirely new and unseen within the MCU. Added to Moon Knight as the series mysterious villain is Ethan Hawke and his presence is sure to keep things interesting.
While much of this first trailer is focused on the duality and conflict that exists between Steven Grant/Marc Spector, we do get a look into the bone-splitting action of the series. And Moon Knight doesn’t mess around. Series star Oscar Isaac has been training hard for the role and it appears that he’s putting his Krav Maga skills to good use as he pummels the hell out of an adversary in the closing moments of the first trailer. Be forewarned, this series will hit HARD!
Get ready for the chaos when Moon Knight arrives on Disney+ on March 30.
