It’s about to get MENTAL in Season Three of ‘The Boys’
The Boys are back, and it’s about to crazy in television’s wildest series The Boys as new supes and new secrets are brought to life and prepare yourself for something truly wild thanks to Season Three.
Watch the brand new teaser trailer for The Boys Season Three now:
season by season we’ve seen The Boys become the most mental show on television, but Amazon Prime’s flagship series is about to get a whole lot crazier in Season Three and the mayhem that this season is promising shows that Season’s One and Two was just a taste.
While the teaser trailer doesn’t go much into the actions or beats of the narrative, what it does show is a brand new side to our favourite characters and it’s about to get crazy. First, there’s Karl Urban’s Billy Butcher, The Boys wild leader who seems to have decided that he’s done playing by the rules and looking for an advantage has turned to Compound V, and well they’ll be consequences there. There’s also Antony Starr’s Homelander who is now more psychotic than ever and he’s ready to do whatever is necessary to exert control over the Vaught Corporation…and there will be blood.
Of other important note is that Season Three of The Boys will also look to bring the events of Herogasm to the forefront. A mythical superhero Woodstock like event, Herogasm is the ultimate orgy of debauched sex and superpowers and this key event is certain to have plenty of narrative importance to the series going forward.
This new teaser trailer is also important as it gives us our first look at Jensen Ackles Soldier Boy, America’s first superhero who tore up the Axis during World War II and showed what America could accomplish with superheroes on its side. Locked away for decades, he’s now on the loose again and he’s very PISSED OFF! While we only get a snapshot of Ackles as Soldier Boy he looks great in the part and is about to really shift things up for the series. An interesting side fact is that Ackles was one of the lead frontrunners for the role of Captain America in the MCU and auditioned heavily for the part, so it’s fun now to sort of see him stand-up as a ‘Captain America-gone twisted’ character and I’m very excited to see what awaits here with Soldier Boy.
Psyche yourself for the mania that waits when The Boys arrives in Prime Video on June 3.
