Hollywood stars don’t come bigger than Dwayne Johnson, and now this mega-action hero is ready to turn to the dark side as he steps into the character of Black Adam, one of the DC Universe’s most formidable characters who has never quite found the line between anti-hero and villain and this new trailer promises a blockbuster series that audiences are going to go crazy for.

Here’s the official synopsis:

Nearly 5,000 years after he was bestowed with the almighty powers of the Egyptian gods – and imprisoned just as quickly – Black Adam is freed from his earthly tomb, ready to unleash his unique form of justice on the modern world.

Epic in scale and scope, Johnson is bringing his full star power to this monumental blockbuster in Black Adam, and the power structure of the DC Universe is about to be shattered with this monumental hero. Jam-packed with action and giving the audience a true taste of the ferocity and power that Black Adam wields, this trailer is what fans have been craving and it’s one hell of a rush.

Johnson stands with a proud stoicism and strength and utterly looks the part as this titan of the DC Universe. In addition to Johnson, audiences also get their first look at Aldis Hodge as Carter Hall/Hawkman, Noah Centineo as Albert “Al” Rothstein/Atom Smasher, Quintessa Swindell as Maxine Hunkel/Cyclone and Pierce Brosnan as Kent Nelson/Doctor Fate, who are better known as the Justice Society of America of JSA and they’ve got their work cut out for them when it comes to battling Black Adam.

This first trailer for Black Adam is exactly what the fans have been wanting and Johnson has clearly made good on his promise to deliver something very special with this blockbuster, and audiences will get to experience the full velocity of Black Adam when it arrives in cinemas on October 20.
