We’re just over two weeks away from the release of Marvel Studios’ Thor: Love and Thunder, and now audiences can get a brand new look at how this imaginative and thoroughly unique superhero blockbuster was brought to life in the all-new behind-the-scenes featurette.
Watch the new featurette for Thor: Love and Thunder below:
Australian megastar Chris Hemsworth has now been playing the role of Thor Odinson for over a decade now, and he admits that Thor’s in a place of renewal and reinvention as he sets out to take on all-new bad guy Gorr the God Butcher (Christian Bale).
“This is ten years for me,” said Hemsworth. “I’ve loved every time I’ve played the character. This new film transitions us from Endgame into a rebirth. Thor doesn’t know what his place is in the universe….that’s also represented in his wardrobe as well.”
Alongside Hemsworth, Academy Award winner Natalie Portman makes her return as Jane Foster/The Mighty Thor and the actress was very excited to make her return.
“I was really excited to come back as the Mighty Thor, and get to share the mantle,” said Portman. “To have us both in the same cape, that was amazing and incredible, especially with Taika at the helm.”
The new featurette also praised the creativity of director Taika Waititi, and the new direction that he’s taking the character in. “We really raised the bar with Ragnarok. Love and Thunder is even more unique.” said Hemsworth.
Alongside the in-depth cast interviews, this new behind-the-scenes also offered audiences an amazing new look at a whole heap of new footage, and Thor: Love and Thunder is going to be an absolute spectacle from a visual standpoint.
Here’s the official synopsis:
