Get ready to take a journey through time and space with Prime Video’s must-watch series Paper Girls, which adapts the seminal graphic novel series from writer Brian K. Vaughan and illustrator Cliff Chiang in an eight-episode series. And sci-fi fans will not want to miss out on this one.
The new trailer has now arrived and gives audiences their first look at this original series, which brings a whole new creative approach to the idea of time travel. Check it out below:
Filled with adventure, emotion and nostalgia, Paper Girls is an awesome new series for Prime Video, which with the likes of Reacher, The Terminal List, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel and The Boys is becoming THE place to go for streaming television.
Alongside its very unique story and intrepid action, Paper Girls also introduces audiences to four new amazing breakout leads who include Camryn Jones as Tiffany Quilkin, Riley Lai Nelet as Erin Tieng, Sofia Rosinsky as Mac Coyle, and Fina Strazza as KJ Brandman. All four look fantastic in the first trailer, and their performances help to realise the high-stakes personal journey that these four characters must undergo in Paper Girls.
Here’s the official synopsis:
In the early morning hours after Halloween 1988, four paper girls — Erin, Mac, Tiffany, and KJ — are out on their delivery route when they become caught in the crossfire between warring time-travellers, changing the course of their lives forever. Transported into the future, these girls must figure out a way to get back home to the past, a journey that will bring them face-to-face with the grown-up versions of themselves. While reconciling that their futures are far different than their 12-year-old selves imagined, they are being hunted by a militant faction of time-travellers known as the Old Watch, who have outlawed time travel so that they can stay in power. In order to survive, the girls will need to overcome their differences and learn to trust each other, and themselves.
Brace yourself for action, adventure, friendship and time-travelling fun when Paper Girls arrives on Prime Video on July 29.
