Take your first look at David O. Russell’s ‘Amsterdam’
When it comes to filmmakers who always deliver with a mix of quirky originality and deeply impressive narrative audiences need to look no further than director David O. Russell. Stunning critics and audiences alike with his films such as Three Kings, The Fighter, Silver Linings Playbook and American Hustle, Russell now returns with a unique mix of murder-mystery-comedy with Amsterdam and it looks damn impressive.

Here’s the official synopsis:
Three friends — a doctor, a nurse, and an attorney — become the prime suspects in a murder in the 1930s, and at the centre of one of the most shocking secret plots in American history
Lavish in production, packed out with visual flair and with three leads who are at the top of their game with Academy Award® winner Christian Bale, two-time Oscar® nominee Margot Robbie and John David Washington, Amsterdam is a picture that is certain to keep audiences guessing the whole way through.
A fascinating and richly intricate tale that brilliantly weaves historical fact with fiction for a timely, cinematic experience, Amsterdam appears to be a wild film and it’s got one enviable cast working on the production. Alessandro Nivola, Andrea Riseborough, Anya Taylor-Joy, Chris Rock, Matthias Schoenaerts, Michael Shannon, Mike Myers, Taylor Swift, Zoe Saldaña, with Oscar-winner Rami Malek and two-time Academy Award winner Robert De Niro are all along for the ride this time, and Amsterdam is sure to keep audiences guessing from beginning to end.
While this trailer only offers a taste of what is to come, it’s certainly intriguing and I’m very excited to see what Bale, Robbie and Washington get up to together with this picture and the surprises that await audiences.
Amsterdam will arrive in cinemas on November 3, 2022.
