Get ready for the fun of ‘Shazam! Fury of the Gods’
2019’s Shazam! brought a new angle to the superhero genre with its laid-back family atmosphere, laugh-out-loud comedy, and all-around fun and now audiences are ready for the return of the Shazam family in 2023’s must-watch sequel Shazam! Fury of the Gods. And now fans can get a first look at the action thanks to SDCC.

Following the events of Shazam!, Billy Batson (Asher Angel) is coming to terms with his life as Shazam (Zachary Levi), and being a superhero isn’t as a fun as it once was with Billy faltering as Shazam. But when the daughters of the Titan Atlas, Hespera (Helen Mirren) and Kalypso (Lucy Liu), return to Earth and threaten to bring it under their rule, Billy and the Shazam family will have to rise up once more and stand up for their family and what they believe in.
Director David F. Sandberg is again returning to helm the sequel and he’s bringing an even bigger scope and scale to the world of Shazam, while also doubling down on the presence of the Shazam family and their presence as a superhero force. This new trailer packs a lot of footage into it’s presentation and audiences who are seeking a superhero rush will be very happy with what awaits them in this sequel.
Prepare yourself for plenty of fun when Shazam! Fury of the Gods arrives in cinemas next year on January 5, 2023.
