New casting arrives for Season Two of ‘Reacher’
Prime Video’s adaptation of Lee Child’s former military cop turned vigilante drifter, Jack Reacher, in Reacher was one of 2022’s biggest television events. And audiences really dug the series and especially the performance of Alan Ritchson as Reacher.
Season Two is about to get underway and new casting details have emerged that showcase plenty of promise for the second season which is set to adapt the eleventh book in Child’s series, Bad Luck and Trouble for streaming. And where season one of Reacher was a full-on detective series, season two is all about hard-hitting vengeance.
As reported by Deadline new casting for the series will include Serinda Swan as Karla Dixon and Shaun Sipos as David O’Donnell, members of the US Army’s Special Investigators Unit, which was formerly headed by Reacher, and who also included his best friend Frances Neagley, who will again be played by Maria Sten.
Swan’s Dixon is an extremely intelligent private investigator who has no problem holding her own in a fight against men much larger than she is, while Sipos’ O’Donnell is a thoughtful, almost unassuming former Army cop, who also happens to carry a switchblade and brass knuckles within reach for when the fight kicks off.
Other cast signed up for the series include Ferdinand Kingsley as A.M. He’s what Homeland Security calls a “ghost;” he operates under a number of aliases and can pass for any nationality. Money is his only motivation, and he’ll work for the highest bidder.
Rory Cochrane will portray Shane Langston. He’s a streetwise former NYPD detective with a questionable track record who is now head of security for a private defence contractor.
Domenick Lombardozzi is Guy Russo. He’s a tough NYPD detective who’s investigating a case that involves several of Reacher’s former Army cohorts.
Ty Victor Olsson has been cast as Saropian. A brutal professional hitman who is charged with following members of Reacher’s old elite military squad.
Josh Blacker will portray Hortense Fields. Lieutenant Colonel in the Army who oversees Reacher’s Elite 110th – Special Investigator’s Unit.
Production for season two of Reacher is currently underway and the series is set to return on Prime Video next year in what will likely be early 2023.
