Jason Momoa to walk red carpet at New Zealand fan screening of ‘Fast X’

We’re just weeks away from the release of mega 2023 blockbuster Fast X, the 10th instalment of the adrenaline-fuelled Fast and Furious saga and a major star is ready to bring his own brand of cool to New Zealand shores.

In a new announcement, Hollywood A-lister Jason Momoa, who is currently based in New Zealand shooting his new Apple+ series Chief of War, and the megastar will now walk the red carpet at an exclusive fan event fot Fast X.

Kiwi Fans and media will have the chance to see Jason Momoa – who stars in Fast X as the franchise’s newest (and most lethal) villain, Dante Reyes – walk the red carpet and take part in a Q&A at Sylvia Park Shopping Centre hosted by ZM’s Vaughan Smith, before unveiling the film to local VIP guests and fans at Hoyts Cinemas.

Fans eager to see Momoa (Aquaman, Game of Thrones) can head to The Grove, directly beneath Hoyts Cinemas, at Sylvia Park Shopping Centre from 4.00pm to enter the Fan Zone.

In Fast X Momoa takes on the role of the flamboyant and sociopathic megalomaniac Dante Rayes, son of Hernan Reyes, who has his eyes set on vengeance and his target is squarely set on Dominic Toretto (Vin Deisel).

With a focus on GO BIG OR GO HOME, director Louis Leterrier is pulling out all the stops for Fast X, and this is gonna be one hell of an epic event!

Here’s the official synopsis:

Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel) must protect his crew and family from Cipher (Charlize Theron), who now joins forces with Dante Reyes (Jason Momoa), the son of drug lord Hernan Reyes (Joaquim de Almeida), seeking revenge for his father’s death in Fast Five.

Brace yourself for action and intensity when Fast X arrives in cinemas on May 18.
