Here’s the official synopsis:
In post-World War II Venice, Detective Hercule Poirot (Sir Kenneth Branagh), now retired and living in his own exile, reluctantly attends a seance. But when one of the guests is murdered, it is up to the former detective to once again uncover the killer.
Following on both 2017’s Murder on the Orient Express and 2022’s Death on the Nile, 2023’s A Haunting In Venice is a film that will shake up the genre of Poirot’s world and the expectations of audiences as Branagh leans into a more gothically charged story of séance and the dark arts. A shocking murder soon follows, and soon Poirot is trapped with a host of would-be killers, along with the presence of a vengeance-crazed ghost.
This new trailer makes for an incredibly shocking watch, and A Haunting In Venice is sure to move at pace as the thrills are cranked up. As he’s done with all previous adaptations, Branagh has assembled an incredible team of co-players for this auspicious production that includes the likes of Kyle Allen, Camille Cottin, Jamie Dornan, Tina Fey, Jude Hill, Kelly Reilly, Michelle Yeoh, Emma Laird and Riccardo Scamarcio.
