“You keep dancing with the devil, one day he’s gonna follow you home.”

Any time we see the words Michael B. Jordan and Ryan Coogler combined in the same sentence, we’re excited. Their newest collaboration, the brooding Southern Gothic horror Sinners, will leave audiences on the edge of fear.

Watch the brand new teaser trailer for Sinners below:

Here’s the official synopsis:

Trying to leave their troubled lives behind, twin brothers (Michael B. Jordan) return to their hometown to start again, only to discover that an even greater evil is waiting to welcome them back.

This first teaser trailer for Sinners is an atmospheric and chilling watch that gives an impression of the mounting tension and horrors to come as Michael B. Jordan’s wayward drifter, who appears to be some kind of ex-soldier named Smoke, finds himself battling a sinister supernatural force that is seemingly unstoppable. Sinners promises double Jordan in a duel performance for the actor, and this is sure to have his fans salivating.

Director Ryan Coogler is really changing things up with Sinners, and it’s setting and ambience promises something new for horror audiences. Setting the film in the Jim Crow-era American South adds an added dose of tension and menace to the film, and even while the trailer only gives an impression of what is to come, a full pitched cinematic horror event of fire, blood and death awiats… and you’ll be holding on for dear life with this one.

Coogler has also lucked out with an incredible supporting cast for this picture, which includes the likes of Hailee Steinfeld, Jack O’Connell, Wunmi Mosaku, Jayme Lawson, Omar Benson Miller and Delroy Lindo in support of Jordan. He’s also backed up a fantastic crew as well made of some of the best talent working today, including his Black Panther franchise collaborators: director of photography Autumn Durald Arkapaw, Academy Award-winning production designer Hannah Beachler, editor Michael P. Shawver, Academy Award-winning composer Ludwig Göransson, and Academy Award-winning costume designer Ruth E. Carter.
