We’re soaking up every wild moment with absolute delight.

Right from the start, Karl was an utter solid chap, who was open and inviting and delved into the utter chaos that audiences can expect from Season Five, along with what it’s like to step back into the combat boots of a character that you can genuinely feel means so much to him.

Karl was very open about how he’d come to build the character of Butcher over the years, circling back to the original IP of the original graphic novel series by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson, and how he’s been able to push this character to ever more crazy moments from season to season, and that getting the chance to continually play him is like “putting on your favourite jumper, as soon as I put that jacket on, and throw the boots on he’s right there.”

Further describing the offering of Butcher and his ultimate “Butcher” moment as a “luxury of choices”, Urban went straight back to the the original series pilot saying that throwing Jack Quaid’s Hughie Campbell into the chaos, and engaging into a punch up with invisible supe Translucent (Alex Hassell) was a real treat and that the fun of this character has continued to grow from there.

“Right from the get-go, there’s been so many fantastic Butcher scenes, y’know, driving a speedboat into a whale, I mean, no other show on the planet do you get to do crazy things like this.”

With even more madness on the horizon and an ending set to leave jaws on the floor, Karl Urban is making good on his word: Season Five of The Boys will go out with the most diabolical bang.

Season Five of The Boys is now streaming on Prime Video.

Prime Video’s The Bluff doesn’t just raise the black flag, it fires a cannon straight through the hull of modern action cinema. Loud, ferocious, and gloriously unrestrained, the film is a full-blooded shot of adrenaline that takes no prisoners. Anchored by feral, powerhouse performances from Priyanka Chopra-Jonas and Karl Urban, The Bluff stands tall as one of the most brazen, inventive, and flat-out exhilarating action experiences of the year.

At the heart of this cannon-blasted spectacle is writer-director Frank E. Flowers, a native son of the Cayman Islands who set out to do something audacious: rip the pirate adventure away from romantic swashbuckling clichés and reforge it into something raw, savage, and dangerous. We were fortunate enough to sit down with Flowers to talk all things The Bluff, and it quickly became clear that this wasn’t just another genre exercise — it was a filmmaker with a vision and the firepower to see it through.

Watch our full interview with director of The Bluff, Frank E. Flowers, below.

From the moment the conversation began, Flowers’ energy was infectious. Passionate, focused, and brimming with enthusiasm, he spoke about The Bluff as a film driven by tension and brutality rather than nostalgia. He described it as a “home invasion movie”, an inspired angle that immediately reframes the pirate genre through a far more claustrophobic and menacing lens. Drawing influence from the cult classic Straw Dogs, Flowers leaned hard into moral ambiguity, escalating violence, and psychological pressure, choices that give The Bluff its ferocious edge.

That edge is sharpened even further by Karl Urban’s performance as the ruthless and vindictive rogue buccaneer Captain Francisco Connor. Flowers spoke candidly about Urban’s commitment to the role, praising the actor for bringing a raw, almost unsettling intensity to the character. Connor is a villain, no doubt about it: brutal, violent, and terrifying, but Flowers was keen to explore the idea that even monsters believe they’re justified. That sliver of perspective adds weight to the film’s central conflict and elevates its stakes beyond simple good-versus-evil theatrics.

And then there’s Priyanka Chopra-Jonas, who brings an explosive savagery to her role as Ercell Bodden aka Bloody Mary that firmly cements her as a top-tier action force. Flowers shared stories of working closely with her to ensure the character’s ferocity felt earned and grounded. The result is action that doesn’t just dazzle — it bites. Bone-crunching, visceral, and relentless, The Bluff delivers set-pieces that feel physical, dangerous, and thrillingly out of control.

What resonated most throughout our chat was Flowers’ sincerity. Open, genuine, and refreshingly down-to-earth, he spoke about The Bluff not as a product, but as a deeply personal project, one born from a desire to push boundaries and reclaim danger in blockbuster storytelling. It was an absolute pleasure to talk shop with a filmmaker so fully invested in every frame of his work.

The buzz surrounding The Bluff has been impossible to ignore, with audiences diving headfirst into its bold, brutal action. The film’s momentum has been matched by enthusiastic promotion from the cast and crew, including a glittering Los Angeles premiere where Chopra-Jonas, in particular, set the red carpet ablaze.

The Bluff pulls no punches and brings teeth, fangs, and fury roaring back into the pirate genre. If you’re craving action cinema with real bite, the kind that leaves splinters in the floorboards and smoke in the air, then this one is not to be missed.

The Bluff is streaming now on Prime Video.

Prime Video is taking things up a notch with the all-new second season of its twisting detective thriller Cross, and this all-new second season broadens the impact of this grittu, no-holds barred series, and audiences seeking a rush will have it delivered to them in taut and intense action thriller.

We were very lucky to be able to sit down with Cross’s central star Aldis Hodge, alongside Season Two’s new addition Matthew Lillard, both of whom are two eclectic and extremely talented actors, and we were able to share a very open and eager chat about the series, and the intrigue that awaits audiences this season.

Check out the full interview with Aldis Hodge (Detective Alex Cross) and Matthew Lillard (Lance Durand_ below:

Both Aldis and Matthew were fantastic to talk to, and their enthusiasm for the new series had us buzzing, not to mention that they were extremely open about the moral grey aras that this new season takes’ Cross’ narrative into, and how this season will offer up plenty of insightful drama that will get fans talking amonst themselves when it comes downs to the action of right and wrong, justice and vigilantism, and just where a hero sits in a corrupted system.

Watch Season Two of Cross NOW on Prime Video.

To celebrate the film’s January 28 arrival on Prime Video, we caught up with director Ángel Manuel Soto, and the conversation was as electric as the movie itself. Open, genuine, and excited for fans to finally see the film, Soto spoke with wicked enthusiam and creative detail about how he brought his style to shape this modern action bruiser that knows exactly when to hit hard — and when to hit harder.

During our chat, Soto dug into how filming in New Zealand helped inform the film’s narrative texture, why he cranked the intensity on a key Dave Bautista fight sequence, how anime influences fed into the design of the film’s menacing Yakuza villain, and how he layered a dark, noir edge over Hawaii’s postcard-perfect surfaces.

Prime Video is ready to make the comedy explosive with the forthcoming debut of their all-new comedy-action, crime caper The Pickup starring comedy all-stars Eddie Murphy and Pete Davidson, and this is a film that delivers on the action, along with the laughs, and the result is a crazy, whack-a-mole adventure of laugh-out-loud hysterics and brazen action, big explosions and one hell of a madcap armoured car chase. And it’s the type of straight-up fun that audiences have been salivating for.

In the lead-up to the movie, we were fortunate to sit down with veteran filmmaker Tim Story, known for his work on Fantastic Four, Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer, and Barbershop. Tim is a man who needs no introduction, as his contributions have transcended multiple genres and narratives. It was a pleasure to discuss the fascinating anecdotes and memorable set pieces that contributed to the fun of The Pickup.

Check out our full interview with director of The Pickup, Tim Story, below:

Tim was a true gentleman and an absolute gem of a human being. He was incredibly open about his experiences working with exceptional storytellers like Eddie Murphy and Pete Davidson. He also shared how much energy Eva Longoria brought to the set and how enjoyable it was to film a high-octane car chase featuring an armored truck.

The Pickup is a solid throwback to those now classic action comedies of the late 1990s and early 2000s, and it’s gonna have plenty of energy and a hysterical level of laughs working in tandem. One moment you’ll be wide-eyed with excitement from all the mania that Tim and his collaborators unleash on the screen, the next you’ll be giggling uncontrollably thanks to that unmistakable Eddie Murphy comedy jam.

Here’s the official trailer for The Pickup below:

Heres’ the official synopsis:

In the action-comedy The Pickup, a routine cash pickup takes a wild turn when two mismatched armored truck drivers, Russell (Eddie Murphy) and Travis (Pete Davidson), are ambushed by ruthless criminals led by a savvy mastermind, Zoe (Keke Palmer), with plans that go way beyond the cash cargo. As chaos unfolds around them, the unlikely duo must navigate high-risk danger, clashing personalities, and one very bad day that keeps getting worse.

The Pickup is just a straight-up fun watch, and audiences can check it out when it arrives on Prime Video on August 6.

Season Two of Prime Video’s epic high fantasy series The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power has arrived, and it promises the rise of the Dark Lord Sauron and his path to forging the Rings of Power in his obsession to dominate all of Middle Earth.

In anticipation of the new season, we sat down with the cast including, harlie Vickers (Sauron/Annatar), Markella Kavenagh (Elanor “Nori” Brandyfoot) and Tyroe Muhafidin (Theo) to discuss the events of the upcoming series, and just what audiences can expect from this radically new series.

Watch our full interview with the cast of The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power below:

It was fantastic to meet Charlie, Markella and Tyroe, who were incredibly open and warm in their response and discussed how the theme of creativity is shaping much of the action behind Season Two, just how far Sauron’s seduction stretches in his pursuit of ultimate power and how the land of Rhûn features heavily into our deeper exploration of the narrative this season.

We also learnt about Charlie’s dramatic hair changes and just whether the elf Annatar would headline an 80s hair metal band, just what tracks got Markella’s Nori into her groove, and how high Tyroe’s Theo will be flying this season with his stunt work.

Here’s the official synopsis:

In Season Two of The Rings of Power, Sauron (Charlie Vickers) has returned. Cast out by Galadriel (Morfydd Clark), without an army or ally, the rising Dark Lord must now rely on his own cunning to rebuild his strength and oversee the creation of the Rings of Power, which will allow him to bind all the peoples of Middle-earth to his sinister will. Building on Season One’s epic scope and ambition, the new season plunges even its most beloved and vulnerable characters into a rising tide of darkness, challenging each to find their place in a world that is increasingly on the brink of calamity. As friendships are strained and kingdoms begin to fracture, the forces of good — Elves and dwarves, orcs and men, wizards and Harfoots — will struggle ever more valiantly to hold on to what matters to them most of all: each other.

It was fantastic to speak with Charlie, Markella and Tyroe, and audiences will be well-pumped for the adventure, magic and dawning of the Dark Lord Sauron as he makes his claim for control of Middle Earth in Season Two.

Watch the final trailer for The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power below:

Prime Video is rapidly becoming one of the coolest places for fans to be with its amazing selection of original movies and television programming and one of the most exciting new debuts that is set to arrive on the streamer is the adaptation of Brian K. Vaughan and Cliff Chiang’s sci-fi, time travel, coming-of-age story Paper Girls.

I was very fortunate enough to be able to sit down with Paper Girls stars Riley Lai Nelet, Camryn Jones and Fina Strazza who portray the key characters of Erin Tieng, Tiffany Quilkin and KJ Brandman. We discussed how they felt jumping back into another decade with the 1980s, what it was like working alongside Ali Wong, who portrays the grown-up Erin, and what they all learnt from her, what their favourite time travel films were, and what would make it onto their cosmic jumping playlists if they ever decided to leap into the future.

Watch the full interview below:

Here’s the official synopsis:

When teenagers Erin, Mac, Tiffany and KJ, who are out on their paper route on the morning after Halloween in 1988, become unwittingly caught in a conflict between warring factions of time-travellers, they’re sent into an adventure through time that will save the world. As they travel between our present, the past, and the future – they encounter future versions of themselves and now must choose to embrace or reject their fate.

Paper Girls is an incredibly exciting new series and with its unique mix of nostalgia, teenage angst, sci-fi action, laugh-out-loud humour and clever narrative storytelling. It’s a series that audiences are going to really get invested in. It’s a series and a concept that does something different with the time travel sub-genre, and sci-fi fans are going to be very impressed with what they see in this series.

Watch the full trailer here:

Riley, Camryn and Fina were fantastic to interview and their enthusiasm, passion and energy for this series were completely present during our interview. There was a genuine friendship and camaraderie amongst the three of them, and after being given a sneak peek of the series all I can say is bring on Season Two!

Paper Girls will arrive on Prime Video on July 29.

Writing, directing and starring in Death Valley is Matthew Ninaber, a filmmaker with a deep passion for all things horror and sci-fi and he directs this enthusiasm into his latest project with unstoppable focus.

I was lucky enough to sit down and talk with Matthew about his inspirations for Death Valley, what it was like to shoot during the pandemic, the thought that went into creating such a unique and unsettling creature, how he likes to keep his audience on edge and just where the story of Death Valley might go in the future.

We were very lucky to be able to speak with series’ stars Madeleine Madden and Zoë Robins, on the special The Wheel of Town Gather.Town event, who portray Egwene al’Vere and Nynaeve al’Meara in this epic series.
