Get ready for love at the end of a rocket because the space race heats up cinemas, and sparks fly in Fly Me to the Moon, in what is a must-watch rom-com of flirty fun!

Brought in to fix NASA’s public image, sparks fly in all directions as marketing maven Kelly Jones (Johansson) wreaks havoc on launch director Cole Davis’s (Tatum) already difficult task. When the White House deems the mission too important to fail, Jones is directed to stage a fake moon landing as back-up and the countdown truly begins?

July 20, 1969, evokes tremendous nostalgia, pride and feel-good energy as the day when humankind did the impossible and reached the surface of the Moon. It was a moment of discovery and triumph and symbolised the purist pursuit of human excellence. Fly Me to the Moon offers the story of just how the astronauts got there and the fun, funny and sometimes firey moments that culminated in humanity’s greatest-ever achievement. Director Greg Berlanti brings together equal parts science and spin as he matches up two opposite characters: quick-witted marketing maven Kelly Jones (Scarlett Johansson) with by-the-book mission commander Cole Davis (Channing Tatum) for a rambunctious rom-com experience that shows just what can happen when you look to the stars and reach for the Moon.

Standing front and centre in Fly Me to the Moon is celebrated actress Scarlett Johansson as Kelly Jones, a New York advertising executive who’s the best in the business, and she finds an unexpected job offer to put her considerable skills for selling to use. The pitch: sell the moon landing to a now disinterested American populace and help get the astronauts on the Moon. And it’s with this new role that Johansson gets going. She brings an entirely effortless charm and appeal to the quick-witted and take-charge Kelly, and it’s fun to see her in a rom-com experience where she can just let loose and play up her considerable comedic chops. Added to the laughs is a real character journey for Kelly as she seeks to hide an unexpected secret, and along the way, discovers a love affair even she couldn’t have dreamed up, and all of it adds to the fun.

Playing off Johansson, is Channing Tatum as the stoic and direct mission commander Cole Davis. A former fighter pilot who unfortunately never made it to the Astronaut program and is running from tragedy finds a new mission and a new lease on life thanks to Kelly. And there are hijinks to be had. For Tatum, Fly Me to the Moon is a real change of direction. While he has previously flirted with rom-com energy, he gets to go all out in Fly Me to the Moon, and it’s an entirely unexpected experience for audiences that they’ll get a kick out of. He shares excellent chemistry with Johansson, and the two of them together hold the attention of the screen and audience in the most perfect way.

Bringing plenty of scene-stealing energy to the picture is the great Woody Harrelson, and he’s utterly brilliant in Fly Me to the Moon. Cast in the role of Moe Berkus, a shadowy government aid who’s there to ensure Kelly’s brief succeeds, Moe comes to her with an additional assignment: fake the moon landing in case Neil, Buzz and Mike don’t make it. And from there, things get interesting. As he is prone to do, Harrelson steals every scene that he appears in, and the results make for utterly perfect viewing that will get you giddy with excitement as you experience all the giggles.

Fly Me to the Moon perfectly captures the film’s 1960s era, and plenty of swing and fun is present in this picture. Those audience members longing for the romantic-comedy experience that only a cinema screen can give will be greatly rewarded with this picture, which offers a fun time with plenty of laughs and a dash of good old-fashioned romance. The film also has its moments, and not to wander into spoiler territory, but its third act is filled with priceless moments and will have you hanging on for dear life as the race to the Moon, both real and ‘fake’, reaches full speed!

To reach the Moon, you’ve got to shoot for the stars, and that’s exactly what Fly Me to the Moon does with a darling little story, plenty of heartfelt romance and a whole heap of rocket fuel, and this is a picture that will make you smile for all the right reasons.

The best things come in threes and director Steven Soderbergh and Hollywood A-lister Channing Tatum return to bring sexy back for the third and final chapter of the Magic Mike saga in Magic Mike’s Last Dance. And this is one film that brings it all and then some.

Mike (Channing Tatum) takes to the stage again, following a business deal that went bust, leaving him broke and taking bartender gigs in Florida. Mike heads to London with a wealthy socialite (Salma Hayek) who lures him with an offer he can’t refuse.

Brace yourself for the fire because Channing Tatum is bringing sexy back as ‘Magic’ Mike Lane one last time in one of 2023’s funniest cinematic releases with Magic Mike’s Last Dance. And he’s ready to go out on top with this one. Re-teaming with visionary filmmaker Steven Soderbergh, the two collaborators get to work on bringing flair and passion back to the big screen as Magic Mike has one last chance to make his dreams come true. And it will take everything of him as an artist, dancer and stripper to make it happen. Giving this film a more international scope, Soderbergh relocates the action from the heat of Maimi to the regal streets of London’s West End. And anything goes in this last chapter. Mixing together plenty of flesh with an intimate character study and love story, Magic Mike’s Last Dance is a film that swings for the fences and the entire creative team give it everything they’ve got.

Channing Tatum is once again front in centre as Mike Lane. But at the start of Magic Mike’s Last Dance it’s clear that the ‘Magic’ has been removed from his life and he needs something to spark it back up inside of him. That spark comes in the form of Salma Hayek’s Maxandra ‘Max’ Mendoza, a divorcee stuck in limbo, who is also seeking new passions in her life. And together the two of them fire it up. Within the narrative, Mike is seeking a bit of a do-over as the pandemic has shut down his dreams of a custom furniture business, and this time around, he throws himself on the line to deliver one hell of a show. Tatum again straddles the line between disarming charmer and sensual stud, and you can tell that he’s having a blast with this picture, and he delivers big on its energy.

Pairing off with Tatum this time around is the firey Salma Hayek as Max, a divorcee whose stuck in a rut and looking for something to inspire her passion once more. And she finds it with Mike. But while she whisks him away from Maimi to London to bring his talents to the stage, the lines between business and pleasure begin to blur. The role of Max gives Hayek a lot to play with in terms of character, and her conflicted emotions and habits lead to plenty of drama on screen. While she’s undoubtedly MILFy in the role and is definitely in charge of her sexuality and in reach of her own sensuality, notions of love and connection are complex subjects and this makes the drama that much more interesting. Hayek shares an excellent level of chemistry with Tatum and this makes the film that much more exciting and energetic, with her taking control of every single scene she’s in.

For those seeking flair, Magic Mike’s Last Dance delivers it, and both Soderberg and Tatum decide that it’s time to go big with the final act. Enlisting a troop of new talent, who all have serious moves, the heat is turned up for the final act, and there’s plenty of flesh on display for a very sizzling time. While I don’t want to spoil the tease too much I will say that the film’s opening number is an erotically charged moment shared between Mike and Max. And Tatum brings the grind. But it’s the third act’s epic 30-minute bombardment of testosterone-soaked dance goodness courtesy of Mike and the lads where this film delivers a bang. Culminating in the scintillating and sexy performance between Mike and ‘The Ballerina’, and set amidst a stream of overflowing water, this is a primal and passionate endnote of raw choreographed sensual expression and sexual energy, and damn does it get your heart working.

Magic Mike’s Last Dance embraces the spirit and energy of the previous films and dials it all up for the third film. There’s a great bit of comedy, along with a very fun surprise for fans of the original films. Ultimately Soderbergh and Tatum bring the film back to a real story of romantic drama and the need for connection. Both Mike and Max are two lonely individuals who are in need of connection, and while there’s plenty of fire and passion, Magic Mike’s Last Dance is at its core a sweet love story of two people finding real love together and this is what will make audiences truly smile.

As a cinematic experience, Magic Mike’s Last Dance is a fun, energetic, and firey piece of film and Mike gives it his all and goes out with one hell of a bang in this final feature. It’s a guaranteed great time out at the movies and your heart will be racing by the closing credits.

The relationship between man and dog is a sacred, joyous and cherished thing and in his first feature film as a director, Hollywood megastar Channing Tatum tells a loving and adorable story of one man’s relationship to man’s best friend, and Dog is sure to bring a smile to your face.

With a dog named Lulu by his side, former U.S. Army Ranger Jackson Briggs (Channing Tatum) races down the Pacific Coast to make it to a soldier’s funeral on time. Along the way, Briggs and Lulu drive each other completely crazy, break a handful of laws, narrowly evade death, and learn to let down their guards to have a fighting chance of finding happiness.

In his first work behind the camera, Hollywood megastar Channing Tatum and his co-director and good friend Reid Carolin bring a touching, sympathetic and ultimately warm story in Dog to the big screen. And this film will pull at your heart. As a story of two mismatched and broken characters, battle-scarred former U.S. Army Ranger Jackson Briggs (Tatum) was once at the tip of the spear but now is suffering the effects of a traumatic brain injury and severe issues with war-time PTSD. With little prospects for any kind of future he accepts a mission to return his best friend’s beloved dog, Lulu, to the former soldier’s funeral and her ultimate final mission. But this journey for Jackson ain’t gonna be easy and instead of finding a sweet, happy-go-lucky dog, instead, we meet a war-weary fellow soldier and Lulu has plenty of problems, just like Jackson, to overcome.

A quintessential road movie in every possible way, Dog, finds these two mismatched individuals travelling down the Pacific Coast and as soon as they roll out onto the open road things take an interesting turn. With their core mission at hand, Jackson and Lulu find themselves in all kinds of mischief, including romantic moments gone wrong, falling into an underground marijuana growth operation, with very unexpected and hilarious consequences, trying to experience the good life, for a moment at least, and finding their way back home again. Dog’s focus on the journey that these two characters take together keeps you hooked the whole way through and Tatum and Carolin keep things interesting with the narrative and the emotional journey that both Jackson and Lulu go on.

While Dog is a quintessential comedy-road movie, Tatum also gets to show off a more serious side and there are some serious issues that this broken soldier is facing. Suffering from a traumatic brain injury in his fight for freedom and country, along with horrendous PTSD and with little hope of any possible bright future, Tatum’s Jackson Briggs is very much a broken man. It’s only through the healing love of a dog at his side, and his journey to help her that he’s able to see the light again and find his way back to the man he once was. Tatum gives a respectful and serious performance and this is an incredibly honest and sincere performance on his behalf.

The focus on two singular characters, Jackson and Lulu, keeps the narrative streamlined and simple and allows Tatum and Carolin to really get to the heart of the issues that these two are suffering through and how each of them needs the other to find themselves and make each other whole again. Part of the success of Dog comes down to its focus on the veteran community and the issues that those whole belong to it have to go through. From PTSD and war-time trauma to severe battle injuries that just don’t go away, Tatum and Carolin do their utmost to represent the hardships that the veteran community has to live through and how they can overcome them with support, understanding and above all love.

Dog is a story of humour, adventure, hijinks and above all things love, and audiences who are lucky enough to witness it will be smiling from ear to ear at the end of its story, It’s a heart-warming, feel-good story and shows that Channing Tatum is a director to definitely keep an eye on.

Watch the brand new trailer for The Lost City below:

Here’s the official synopsis:

Brilliant, but reclusive author Loretta Sage (Sandra Bullock) has spent her career writing about exotic places in her popular romance-adventure novels featuring handsome cover model Alan (Channing Tatum), who has dedicated his life to embodying the hero character, “Dash.” While on tour promoting her new book with Alan, Loretta is kidnapped by an eccentric billionaire (Daniel Radcliffe) who hopes that she can lead him to the ancient lost city’s treasure from her latest story. Wanting to prove that he can be a hero in real life and not just on the pages of her books, Alan sets off to rescue her. Thrust into an epic jungle adventure, the unlikely pair will need to work together to survive the elements and find the ancient treasure before it’s lost forever..

Taking the tropes of classic romantic novels and throwing them headfirst into a crazed jungle adventure, The Lost City is a barrel of laughs and stars Sandra Bullock and Channing Tatum appear to be having the time of their lives with this project. Bullock makes a great impression as the brilliant, but reclusive romance novelist Loretta Sage who doesn’t know how to let loose, whole Tatum is hilariously funny and vapid, shallow and somewhat dim-witted cover model Alan who can’t see the line between fiction and reality. Soon there thrust into the middle of the Amazonian jungle and that’s where things get interesting as they undertake a while and crazy adventure to find a mythical treasure that was once thought lost forever.

Both the comedy and action work out perfectly in this first trailer for The Lost City and the laughs will make you giddy. Bullock and Tatum have a great back and forth and the presence of Daniel Radcliffe as jittery billionaire Fairfax also leads to some top-class hilarity. Plus there’s a wild cameo appearance in the film that is sure to leave audiences doing a double-take, as does Tatum.

In 2014 Kingsman: The Secret Service took the world by storm with its completely gonzo punk rock take on the spy genre that introduced the world to a brand new hero in Gary ‘Eggsy’ Unwin, who was played to perfection by newcomer Taron Egerton. Now Egerton and director Matthew Vaughn are back for Kingsman: The Golden Circle and I can promise you that if you’re looking for a shot of insane awesomeness right to your optic nerve then you’ve come to the right place.

Set after the events of Kingsman: The Secret Service, Kingsman: The Golden Circle picks up with Eggsy having become the golden agent of the elite spy service known as the Kingsman, and well life is pretty good for him. But that all comes crashing down in a surprise attack that decimates the Kingsman. Devastated from the attack, Eggsy and his trusty advisor Merlin (Mark Strong), head to America and partner up with their new found allies The Statesman. Together the Kingsman and the Statesman have to combat a new and extremely dangerous villainous named Poppy who has her eyes set on world domination, and who is willing to sacrifice millions of lives to achieve her grand schemes.

I’m going to come out and say it: Kingsman: The Golden Circle IS SO MUCH FUN!!!

From its opening titles to its closing credits, it’s an absolute riot that plays on what came before in the original film and cranks it up one thousand percent. With his first ever sequel director Matthew Vaughn is able to dig deeper into this fantastically crazy spy world that he conceived and the result is something truly amazing.

While he played upon the traditional gentleman spy archetype with the original Kingsman, here in The Golden Circle he gets to take a crack at the cowboy country manner of the American based Statesman. Here the wardrobe is denim and Stetsons and just like their English counterparts these cowboy agents have their own unique ways of doing things. This juxtaposition of two worlds leads to some great moments up on screen and makes this second outing a thoroughly fresh take.

One of the things I also love about Vaughn as a director is that he also injects his own personality into the project. While Kingsman: The Golden Circle is undoubtedly a lavishly big budgeted Hollywood action film Vaughn really makes it his own with subtle injections of his own personality. These come in the form of the likes of Eggsy’s distinctive spy glasses that are based upon Vaughn’s own signature eyewear, along with a killer robotic beauty therapist who resembles his wife Claudia Schiffer all too well. As a film fan I love seeing this kind of stuff, and these little nuances make all the difference.

The cast, oh where to begin. Well first off their amazing. Taron Egerton returns in dapper form as Eggsy, and while he may have some serious skills in saving the world, he’s still the cheeky, up-start estate kid we know and love. Life has changed quite a bit for Eggsy, and he’s now in a committed relationship with Princess Tilde, who, um ‘rewarded’ him for saving the world in the previous film. While I can’t say much it’s this relationship that really makes things personal for Eggsy and makes him committed to saving the world this time around.

The always dependable Mark Strong really steps up this time as well. As Eggsy’s trustee trainer and advisor Merlin he has a far larger role in the sequel, and you get to see a different side to him, such as his particular love for John Denver.

But it wouldn’t be a Kingsman film without the one and only Colin Firth as Harry Hart, and in a miraculous situation, the previously fallen spy makes a full return. While I can’t say much without drifting into spoiler territory, let’s just say Firth’s return as Hart is a welcome relief and leads to some very interesting sequences up on screen.

Then there are the bourbon slinging cowboys of the Statesman. Stepping up to the plate is Pedro Pascal as the aptly named Jack Daniels, codenamed Agent Whiskey, who pairs up with Eggsy to save the world. Pascal is channelling his inner Burt Reynolds here with a perfectly groomed moustache and cocky southern charisma. He’s also pretty adept with a lasso and bullwhip, and these unique skills provide some seriously cool action scenes.

While Whiskey might be the Statesman’s All-American boy, it’s Channing Tatum who dances to his own tune as resident statesman bad boy Agent Tequila. Brandishing a Winchester rifle and one serious Stetson, Tequila loves his liquor and is ready to party. He goes toe-to-toe with Eggsy and Merlin in one hell of an intense action scene and has plenty of fun doing it.

Rounding out the Statesman cast are Halle Berry as resident tech Ginger Ale who is a little bit flirty with Merlin and who is on point with her computer wizardry and the legendary Jeff Bridges is his super cool self as Statesman head Champ.

While Samuel L. Jackson’s Richmond Valentine was one seriously deranged and quirky villain, Oscar winner Julianne Moore takes it up a notch this time. Moore’s resident baddie Poppy Adams is best described as a psychopathic Martha Stewart who is altogether kooky and whose affinity for small-town Americana matches her love for diabolical ways to dispatch those who cross her. Poppy is totally coo coo and her nefarious plan to bring the world to its knees is original and makes her one dangerous adversary for the combined Kingsman/Statesman task force who are dispatched to stop her.

And finally, in a surprise and smashing cameo appearance, Sir Elton John steps out onto The Golden Circle’s stage. Celebrity cameos don’t get much better than this and well Elton is just utterly brilliant.

If you want action you’ve really come to the right place. While the infamous ‘church massacre’ from the original Kingsman is an altogether classic piece of cinema, Kingsman: The Golden Circle adds to this with some seriously crazy stunt sequences. Again I can’t really go there without straddling the spoiler line, but Kingsman: The Golden Circle has some pretty epic moments that include its adrenaline-charged opening car chase, and the impressively crazy showdown at Poppy Land which has lead flying left, right and centre and see’s both Eggsy and Hart kicking some serious ass!

I shouldn’t have to convince you to want to watch Kingsman: The Golden Circle, it’s simply brilliant and what do they say “you can’t get enough of a good thing.’ Kingsman: The Golden Circle is that good thing and if you’re looking for a good time in the cinema then you need to buy a ticket and take this ride. Spy’s, gadgets, perfect suits, good whiskey and a do or die mission to save the world and rescue the girl. Yep, Kingsman: The Golden Circle has it all!

Steven Soderbergh takes audiences on one hell of a ride with Logan Lucky, one of the most original and audacious films to be released all year.

After losing his job, and finding himself with no prospects Jimmy Logan (Channing Tatum) decides that the only way he can get ahead is with a daring robbery of Charlotte Motor Speedway. But what starts off as a simple smash and grab plan soon turns into a far more crazier heist than he could have imagined, complete with a cast of eccentric characters.

While Channing Tatum may be Hollywood’s go to heartthrob when they want ripped abs and a good dose of sex appeal, here the actor does away with all of that and instead embraces the crazy world of Jimmy Logan. Tatum makes for a damn fine backwoods country boy with his pudgy looks and spot on Southern drawl. But it’s his gift for plotting that really sets him apart. Along with his brother Clyde (Adam Driver) the two plot a daring heist to improve their fortunes and banish the so-called ‘Logan family curse’.

Both Tatum and Driver are incredibly convincing as brothers and the two have a great back and forth exchange with one another. Both are protective of the other and this crazy plan of Jimmy’s certainly leads Clyde into some compromising positions. And did I mention that Clyde only has one arm? Yep, there’s all kind of eccentric ideas going on in this movie, and as the brothers put their plan into action you can’t help but think whether it’s Jimmy’s shrewd scheming or just plain old dumb luck that see’s them through.

However, it’s far and away Daniel Craig who steals the show as the thoroughly bizarre bank robber and explosives expert Joe Bang. Craig swaps out his cool confidence and debonair charm in favour of prison tattoos and a solid Hicksville accent as Bang. And it is glorious to watch. With Bang, you never know what he’s going to do next, and more often than not he drags the Logan brothers into even deeper trouble. But Bang’s not stupid, no far from it, and these unexpected moments of pure genius are guaranteed to have you in stitches. The stupidity instead comes in the form of his own idiot brothers, Sam (Brian Gleeson) and Fish (Jack Quaid), who are two of the most memorably moronic characters you’ll ever witness up on screen. I thought stupidity had a limit until I saw these two idiots, and the gags that result are hysterical.

Logan Lucky is not the typical film Hollywood puts out. And director Steven Soderbergh wanted it that way. Instead its the crazy, country cousin of the director’s most famous film Ocean’s 11 that we get here, and although it might be out there, it’s brilliant. I was engaged the entire time that I was watching this film. Equal parts drama, comedy, romance and caper film, Logan Lucky does things you don’t expect it to and with its shifting narrative points and twisting turns is so much fun to watch.

If you like films that are clever, original and completely off the beaten path then Logan Lucky is a film you should definitely invest your time in. You’ll find yourself laughing at the most inappropriate moments and when the screen fades to its credits you’ll go ‘damn that was fun’.

Hollywood masterminds Joel and Ethan Coen are back for another brilliant and original tale in Hail, Caesar!. The film chronicles the madness that follows studio fixer Eddie Mannix (Josh Brolin), as he tries to find an over-the-top movie star (George Clooney) who disappears from the set of the studio’s biggest tentpole, and now threatens completion of their big event movie.

Here are five reasons why you should definitely line up to watch Hail, Caesar!:

5. The talented tap-dancing of Burt Gurney

Channelling his inner Gene Kelly, Channing Tatum is perfectly cast as tap-dancing whizz and studio A-lister Burt Gurney, who enchants audiences with a rhythmic and choreographic musical number of epic proportions. While audiences have long known that Tatum can definitely shake it, he steps it up a notch as the whimsical Gurney, who may not be quite all he appears to be.

4. The Golden Age of Hollywood

Set during the Hollywood’s golden age of the mid-1950s when big blockbusters ruled the silver screen, Hail, Caesar! utilises a unique setting to tell a compelling and completely hysterical day-in-the-life story. Set amongst the dramas surrounding uber studio Capital Pictures, the film follows both the actors and the studio heads who order them through a range of chaotic situations that threaten to derail the mega project aptly named Hail, Caesar. The Coen’s have a lot of fun with the period detail, while playing around with the history of gossip columns and the deal making that shaped Hollywood.

3. Scarlet Johansson – The impossible starlet

While Eddie Mannix’s day mostly concerns finding missing movie star Baird Whitlock (George Clooney), after he goes missing from the set of Hail, Caesar!, he also finds himself trying to rescue pregnant and unwed starlet DeeAnna Moran from a possible scandal. Making quite the entrance in an epic synchronised swimming scene, Johansson impresses with a thick New Jersey accent and tough demeanor that shatters all illusions we have of the perfect Hollywood starlet. The banter she shares with Brolin’s Mannix is fun to watch, as the two appear to be the only two realists in the crazy world of Hollywood.

2. Eddie Mannix – The no-nonsense studio exec

Cast in the central role of studio ‘fixer’ Eddie Mannix is Coen regular Josh Brolin, who once again makes a big impression on audiences as a no-nonsense but deeply troubled individual. Brolin is both deeply serious and unintentionally hilarious as Mannix, who has a ritualised habit of attending confession in between juggling multiple tasks. While it would be easy to make Mannix a corporate suit and villain, he’s immensely likeable as the only sensible and switched on individual in all of Tinseltown, and you can’t help but respect his commitment to his job and clients.

1. ‘Twer that it were so simple’

But Hail, Caesar’s defining moment comes in a showdown between cowboy musician Hoby Doyle (Alden Ehrenreich) and cultured director Laurence Laurentiz (Ralph Fiennes), on the set of Laurentiz’s new movie. The interaction between these two results in an absolute laughfest, owing mostly to a clash of culture and filmmaking styles. Well worth the watch.
