As America adjusts to Homelander’s reign at Godolkin University the new Dean preaches a course to make students more powerful than ever. Cate and Sam are heroes, while Marie, Jordan, and Emma return to class, after months of trauma. War is brewing between Humans and Supes and our crew learns of a secret program from the 60s that may be significant to today. And, somehow, Marie is a part of it.

Season Two of Gen V picks up after the shocking ending to Season Four of The Boys, and Supe supremacy is all the rage, and everyone else had better watch out. Starlighters are being hunted, Marie Moreau is on the run, and Emma and Jordan find themselves exonerated and back on campus… and it’s all about to get crazier from there. Like always, showrunners Michele Fazekas and Tara Butters turn the volume up, and utilising the playbook set by Craig Rosenberg, Evan Goldberg, and Eric Kripke, Season Two of Gen V is going to get lit. Audiences find our ‘heroes’ firmly planted in Homelander’s pro-Supe America, and things are getting more dangerous by the day, with the Supes no longer playing by the rules, and everyone is prey for their amusement. Throw in a dangerous new conspiracy, and secrets from the past, and things are starting to get all kinds of manic on campus. And this is exactly what the fans have been wanting.

Gen V, like The Boys, knows when to turn things up, and just when you think you’ve got this whole thing figured out, Fazekas and Butters throw the switch, and chaos ensues. None of our characters are perfect, but in Season Two, we get to see even more of their demons let loose, and as the series ramps up, it gets dramatic and hella messy. And MESSY is the word, being this is Gen V, there’s no filter for the gore, wearing or downright perversity of the Supe world, and there’s some seriously gnarly stuff that will make you wince, sigh, screech and go what-the-fuck all in one sitting. The showrunners and cast know what their fans want, and man, do they deliver!

One of the most intriguing aspects of the new series is a throwback to the founding of Godolkin University and its founder, Dr. Thomas Godolkin (Ethan Slater), and a sinister secret project known only as PROJECT ODESSA. This provides for an utter surprise that will completely take audiences by surprise and leads into the series’ new antagonist, Dean Cipher (Hamish Linklater). A mysterious Supe with tight ties to Vaught, and who has been personally tasked by Homelander to keep things running at Godolkin University, there’s a quite cunning and sadistic intelligence behind Linklater’s Cipher, and he’s a man who sees all the moves at play, and he’s certainly not to be tampered with. His presence alone will make the hairs in the back of your neck stand up, and things get scary pretty quickly thanks to his savage and sadistic experiments on his subjects… I mean students.

Gen V is a series that utterly stands on its own in relation to narrative and action, and it’s again crazy to see our current real world, and all of its political strife, reflected back at us on screen. Satirical and horrifying in equal measure, Gen V is sure to get a rise out of audiences, and they won’t be ready for what awaits in this crazy second chapter that is setting the stage for the final season of The Boys… and it’s going to get loco FAST!

This second season of Gen V looks incredibly wild, and crazy and is definitely not where I thought we would be going following the conclusion of Season One, and audiences looking for something completely out there, will get it with this brand new series that will take place following the events of Season Four of The Boys, where the Supes have declared their own version of martial law, and events in Season Two of Gen V will lead into next year’s penultimate season of The Boys. And all hell is going to break loose!

Season Two of Gen V will premiere on Prime Video on September 17 with the first three episodes. New episodes will follow weekly, leading up to a full-throttle season finale on Wednesday, October 22.

In a surprising season finale twist, Sam teams up with Cate, spreading terror on campus. Andre has a life-or-death choice to make while Marie and Emma learn new ways to utilize their powers. When reviewing Episode 8 of Gen V, ‘Guardians of Godolkin’, this episode comes down to thirty-two minutes of absolute chaos as Sam unleashes the residents of The Woods and its free range on all non-supes. Friendships are tested, explosions go off, and blood is spent in this mental watch! Gen V and the world of The Boys in general have made a habit of turning up the volume when it comes to the creativity that can be applied to blood and gore, but this episode takes it to a new level, and not even the supes get off lightly in this one.

‘Guardians of Godolkin’ is the culmination of the actions and decisions that our lead characters have made this season, and it becomes clear that each of them has to pick a side. What this ultimately boils down to is a battle between Marie and Cate. And it’s a bloody showdown that doesn’t end well! In ‘Guardians of Godolkin’, showrunners Craig Rosenberg, Evan Goldberg and Eric Kripke prove that they can turn up the shock factor, and the results are one ‘popping’ good time!

But the surprises don’t end there, and everything takes a turn when a certain supe named Homelander (Antony Starr) touches down on the Godolkin University campus and puts an end to Marie and Cate’s rampage! Starr brings his trademark squirminess and cheeky style to this guest cameo appearance, and his presence sets the stage for the lead into the much anticipated fourth season of The Boys. Oh, and stay for the end credits because the brooding Billy Butcher (Karl Urban) ain’t gonna miss out on the possibilities of The Woods and their ‘supe ending’ treats, and it’s a moment of pure Butcherness courtesy of Karl Urban.

Gen V is, far and away, one of the wildest and craziest streaming events of the year, and it’s completely opened up the world of The Boys in a totally new direction. As we move into season four of The Boys, and with the announcement of a second season of Gen V on the way, I think that it’s only about to get more interesting from here.

Cameron Coleman hosts a contentious Town Hall with Vice presidential candidate, Victoria Neuman. Andre has a family emergency, and an impressionable Sam makes the wrong friend. Cate takes back control while Marie learns she has a few things in common with Neuman. The truth of Shetty’s intentions are finally revealed

All things have been leading down a path to the final truth at the heart of Gen V, and with the revelation that Godolkin University’s Dean Indira Shetty (Shelley Conn) has been developing a virus to kill ‘supes’, it appears that these future gods are not so invulnerable after all. While we’ve had a taste of what Shetty’s plague looks like, in ‘Sick’, audiences get all close and personal to it. And it isn’t pretty. The threat for the ‘supe’ community is now VERY REAL, but more importantly, we finally get to the heart that has fed Shetty’s vindictive desire to ruin the lives of all ‘supes’, and just like every superhero….or supervillain. She has suffered from her own flawed and tragic origin story.

It’s through Shetty in ‘Sick’ that we also get a very real connection to the world of The Boys in the appearance of The Boys’ handler Grace Mallory (Laila Robins), with whom Shetty intends to make a deal. And it makes for an interesting conversation. While Mallory has suffered more than anyone at the hands of the ‘supes’ even she has her own set of morals that don’t go as far as Shetty. This interaction not only shows how desperate and hungry for revenge Shetty truly is but just how much of a ‘supervillain’ she has become. And It’s clear, nothing will stand in her way.

Making another bold appearance in ‘Sick’ is Claudia Doumit as Victoria “Vic the Veep” Neuman, Vice President candidate and closeted ‘supe’ who is busy on the campaign trail and who has called into Godolkin University to round up support. Except she doesn’t have it, and her presence as a ‘clandestine supe’, pro-human politician riles up the student body, and well, all hell breaks. And caught up in all of it are Marie, Jordan, Emma, Cate and Sam. While Sam is pulled this way and that and gets caught up in the ruckus, Victoria decides to have a heart-to-heart with Marie. And it’s one hell of a revelation for our main character. But with tensions this high, things soon turn sour, and it’s clear that Godolkin University is about to burst at the seams.

And this leads us into the crux of Episode Seven, ‘Sick’, as the ‘supes’ end up in a showdown with Shetty, and a very pissed off and traumatised Cate is conducting all of it. In” we got an insight into just how messed up Cate’s mental state truly is, and all of this pain, resentment, and bitter anger comes smashing out in ‘Sick’. And it makes for one shocking and very bloody mess. Plus, did we mention that Victoria Neuman is in class today. Yep, you can probably imagine where this all goes, and make no mistake, ‘Sick’ ends on a very nasty and icky note.

We’re in the endgame now with Gen V….and it ain’t gonna be pretty. Because we’re about to see ‘supes gone wild’, but not in a good way, and it’s clear that the secrets of The Woods are going to be unleashed, and Godolkin University is going to burn. So step right up!

In the wake of Cate’s betrayal, Emma goes to find Sam. Marie, Jordon and Andre are forced to see things from Cate’s perspective. Dr. Cardosa makes a breakthrough with a mysterious virus, and Shetty makes a terrifying request with dire consequences.

Week by week, the tension and drama of Gen V continue to build, and this series has rapidly become a must-watch weekly event. Just when you figured out what’s going on, showrunners Craig Rosenberg, Evan Goldberg and Eric Kripke pull a fast one on audiences and throw our perspective ‘supes’ into an even deeper abyss of trouble. And they’re really in the shit with ‘Jumanji’. After Cate’s very traumatic revelation at the end of Episode Five, ‘Welcome to the Monster Club’, that she has been working with Dean Shetty (Shelley Conn) from the beginning and has been doing everything in her power to manipulate her so-called ‘friends’ right from the start, she falls victim to a seizure and traps all of her friends in her very fragile conscience. And damn, is this girl messed up, and it leads to one of the most interesting and eye-opening episodes of Gen V yet.

For Rosenberg, Goldberg and Kripke, ‘Jumanji’ is an exercise in pure creative storytelling, and its unique framing, perspective, and sense of narrative allows them to burrow deeper into the damaged psyche and personality of our characters and reveal them to us in an entirely new light. Put it this way: Cate’s not the only one who’s been holding onto secrets, and things get fast and loose in ‘Jumanji’, and it ain’t pretty. The construct of Cate’s messed up conscience and her complex personality lead to some visually stunning set pieces, and our showrunners and their creative team get to show their stuff in what is Gen V’s most visually striking episode yet. But the revelations hit the hardest, and none of our ‘supes’ are spared as Cate’s mind rips them apart and showcases them at their absolute worst.

But along with the deeply haunting and traumatic revelations at the base of its narrative, ‘Jumanji’ also has a fun side, and it shows up in a special cameo appearance by the one and only Soldier Boy, and it’s a thrill to see the return of the great Jensen Ackles. Ackles completely won over audiences with his absolutely maddening portrayal of Soldier Boy, the world’s first ‘supe’ and ultra-violent, sexist, misogynistic boomer asshole who stole every scene he was in. Ackles Soldier Boy has a very special part to play in Gen V, and he’s even more unhinged and off the chain this time, and all filters have been stripped away. Once again, Ackles has an absolute blast, and he injects an outlandish dose of fucked up humour into the episode that audiences will greatly appreciate.

But the episode’s crux hinges on the dangerous revelations of Dean Indira Shetty, whose pursuit of a virus to control the ‘supe’ population takes a deadly turn. Throughout the season, actress Shelley Conn has brought an omniscient presence to the series as the master manipulator, and her Machiavellian reach knows no bounds. In ‘Jumanji’, we see just how devious she is, and while the ‘supes’ might be dangerous, it’s clear who the true villain is. And she’s no less. It’s clear that no ‘supe’ poses any threat to her, and her control of her student’s minds makes her utterly deadly, and she’s ready for the next step in her devious plan.

The atmosphere is building in Gen V, and I feel things are about to get gnarly as we move into the final chapters of its first season. It’s clear that anything can happen now, and there will be a lot more carnage.

The gang wakes up at Dusty’s house from what they assume was an all-night bender. As they try to retrace their liquor and drug-drenched steps from last night, nothing is quite what it seems. Only Sam knows the truth. Marie begins to question Shetty’s motives, and the secret of The Woods is revealed. 

Episode Four of Gen V, ‘The Whole Truth’ ended on a hell of a cliffhanger, and waking up dazed and confused, Marie, Emma, Andre, Jordan, Cate and Sam are all thrown together in the remnants after one hell of a party. And it was a definite case of ‘Supes Gone Wild’. But amongst the overflowing alcohol, bounty of mind-altering substances and salacious nudity and sex, there’s a problem. None of our characters can remember anything about how they got to this party. And things quickly don’t begin to add up in ‘Welcome to the Monster Club’.

While the ‘supes’ try to figure out what the hell is going on, Dean Indira Shetty (Shelley Conn), is busy cleaning up her own mess and reveals the truth of The Woods. A top-secret project to perfect a deadly virus that could cull the ‘supe’ population and finally bring them under humanity’s control. In ‘Welcome to the Monster Club’, we see Dean Shetty for who she truly is, and there’s an almost twisted altruism to her mission and her belief in The Woods. It’s a shocking revelation on behalf of showrunners Craig Rosenberg, Evan Goldberg and Eric Kripke, and this new narrative point will have massive ramifications not only for the world of Gen V but for the greater universe of The Boys at large.

While Marie and her friends are forced to go round and round in order to figure out who stripped their memory and threw them into a crazy hallucinogenic party of epic debauchery, Sam (Asa Germann) has to contend with his mind that is now faltering faster than ever. And the results are a pure manic episode of chaotic, violent humour that will make audiences shit up and go, ‘what the actual fuck!’. Episode by episode, we’ve seen the creativity for excessive violence and gore take to new heights of theatrical fun, and ‘Welcome to the Monster Club’ is a new level of NUTS!

However, it’s the episode’s final moments where things truly get chaotic, and a startling and dark secret is revealed that throws the Gen V narrative in a whole new direction. And nothing will be the same after this.

The World’s Greatest Superhero Detective, Tek Knight, pays a visit to campus and threatens to expose the secrets of Godolkin University on his hit series on Vought+, “The Whole Truth”. Marie discovers a new attribute, with her powers when she’s threatened by a fellow classmate. Marie, Andre, Cate and Jordon try to stop powerful hero, Sam, while Emma shows everyone another side of her powers.

Few shows are as addictive to watch as The Boys spinoff series, Gen V, and Episode Four, ‘The Whole Truth’ has arrived. And it’s about to get very murky in the corridors of Godolin University. While they started as fresh-faced would-be heroes who all had promising futures ahead of them, that is until college hunk Golden Boy (Patrick Schwarzenegger) went nuclear, and Marie, Andre, Cate and Jordan fell in on a dangerous conspiracy only known as ‘The Woods’ and which had swallowed up Golden Boy’s long lost brother Sam (Asa Germann). Episode Three, ‘#ThinkBrink’ ended in a hell of a bloody mess thanks to shrinking supe Emma Meyer/Little Cricket (Lizze Broadway), whose ‘puging’ powers are an absolute curse, and the narrative takes an interesting turn in ‘The Whole Truth’.

That turn comes in the form of the world’s pre-eminent ‘supe’ detective Robert Vernon/Tek Knight, who, since finishing up his crime-fighting days, now hosts his own sensational true crime series. And he’s ready to sniff out the rot at Godolkin Univeristy. Special credit must be given to guest star Derek Wilson, who brings a real creep factor to the presence of Tek Knight. With his manufactured smile and probing eyes, Tek Knight comes across as the ultimate voyeur, and he’s got a very real scummy personality that he can’t help but direct towards his subjects in his very personal ‘interviews’, which are nothing more than probing interrogations. Wilson marks Tek Knight out as a man not to be trifled with, and he’s there’s a psychotic danger in his performance that will leave audiences on edge. Add in his own personal deviancies, and well, let’s just say Tek Knight earns his place amongst a long list of ‘supe’ reprobates.

‘The Whole Truth’ also continues with Gen V’s over-the-top moments, and there are plenty of them to be had in this episode. A particular nasty moment occurs when Marie Moreau (Jaz Sinclair) falls victim to Godolkin University’s resident ‘date raper’ Rufus (Alexander Calvert), who is fond of a ‘mind roofie’, but who falls victim to the #MeToo Movement in a whole bloodier fashion! It’s a particularly gruesome scene to watch but overly well deserved, and this ‘explosive’ moment is another step in Marie mastering her powers and taking her heights to new levels. Things end with a hell of a shock, and you won’t believe what happens next.

It’s starting to get really interesting in Gen V, and with the cliffhanger that was thrown at us at the end of ‘The Whole Truth’, Episode Five is sure to get a whole lot more twisted!

It’s the night of the gala fundraiser, and many of our heroes have to face their biggest villains yet: their parents! Cate and Andre become closer than ever as they unravel the truth about Godolkin University. Marie makes an apology, and Andre sends Emma on a mission.

Gen V has gotten off to a hell of a start thanks to the spectacularly gory murder-suicide of celebrated supe professor Richard Brinkerhoff (Clancy Brown) at the hands of college heartthrob Luke Riordon/Golden Boy (Patrick Schwarzenneger). But tragedies can also lead to opportunities, and that’s exactly where we find ourselves in Episode Three, ‘ThinkBrink’ as Godolkin University and Vought International throw a lavish gala fundraiser to celebrate the life of the good professor. And this leads to the arrival of our lead characters’ parents, who all have a very pushy interest in their children succeeding to the top. Emotions run high in this episode, and there’s plenty of drama on display.

Through both The Boys and Gen V, audiences have come to see how a lot of the time, superpowers actually hinder our ‘supes’, more than help them. Throw in the pressure of endorsement deals, high society glamour, media pressure, and very pushy parents, and you’ve got as cocktail for disaster. With the arrival of Andre, Jordan and Emma’s parents, all of whom have agendas for their children’s future, things get uncomfortable pretty fast at Godolkin University, and it’s not a fun night for any of them. From Emma’s mum’s desire to see her in a hard-hitting reality show, to Jordan’s father shaming them for their female side, to Andre’s father Polarity’s own agenda, which takes a hell of a twist. None of it makes for a comfortable watch.

‘#ThinkBrink’ also focuses more on how savage our protagonist’s powers truly are and how, for all of them, their powers are often the result of significant trauma. From cutting to bulimia and everything else in between, all of our characters share a catharsis between one another, and all realise that each of them has had their own traumas to deal with, and that if they’re to make it through the ranks of Godolkin University they’ll have to stick together. Another big part of ‘#ThinkBrink’ focuses in on Luke Riordon’s younger brother Sam (Asa Germann), who was previously thought dead and who has been trapped in The Woods, a dangerous and mysterious institution buried beneath the corridors of Godolkin University. Sam has a real focus in the episode, and he’s certainly not right in the head.

It also wouldn’t be Gen V without a serious bit of R-rated fun. And we get a good serving in ‘#ThinkBrink’. From aggressive sex to churning gore, all of it is splattered over the screen in Episode Three of Gen V, and it adds an added layer of edge, to what is a very heavy episode.

With ‘#ThinkBrink’ we’re now all in with Gen V, and this is a series that’s becoming addictive. And audiences can’t look away.

Everyone is reeling from the tragic events of ‘God U’. Meanwhile, Marie and Andre are branded by Vought as the new ‘Guardians of Godolkin’. Emma trusts the wrong friend while Dean Shetty brings Marie under her wing. Jordan can’t contain their jealousy over Marie getting credit for fighting Golden Boy. Andre’s suspicion starts to grow as he starts to uncover a mystery.

Things went nuclear in Episode One of Gen V, ‘God U’, with All-American, big man on campus Luke Riordan/Golden Boy (Patrick Schwarzenegger) brutally murdering long-tenured ‘supe’ professor Richard “Rich Brink” Brinkerhoff (Clancy Brown), before openly sacrificing himself in a brutal and bloody fireball of death. What follows is a very icky and gory cleanup, and those left behind in Godolkin University are starting to question everything. Marie, Jordan (London Thor and Derek Luh), Andre (Chance Perdomo) and Cate (Maddie Phillips) were all present to the harrowing moments of Luke’s rampage. Everyone’s on edge after this frenzy, but it soon becomes clear that Luke might not be as crazy as everyone thinks.

The events of Episode One, ‘God U’ have changed the entire direction of Gen V, and it’s fair to say that a star has been born. Finding herself at the centre of Luke’s massacre and now being roped into a swiftly organised PR campaign by Vought, outsider Marie Moreau (Jaz Sinclair) now has the cameras placed on her and gets her first taste of celebrity. And she likes the feeling. This sudden 180 turn is a genius move on behalf of Gen V creators Craig Rosenberg, Evan Goldberg and Eric Kripke, and it really upends everything that the audiences expect Gen V to be. It’s also a brilliant satirical comment on the manufactured reality of the media industry and corporate spin, and its commentary is spot on.

Standing directly in Marie’s corner and taking a very personal interest in her is Godolkin University’s Dean, Indira Shetty (Shelley Conn). Possessing no Compound V-enhanced powers of her own, Conn’s Shetty is the smiling, welcoming face of the university, but make no mistake, she’s a cunning and manipulative figure who is ready to do anything to get to the top of the Vought hierarchy. And Marie’s in her focus now. A trained psychologist, she gets to work on Marie in Episode Two, ‘First Day’, and she’s got her own secrets that she wants kept out of the limelight. What her end goals are, well, we still don’t know yet, but it’s clear that the most dangerous person on this campus doesn’t have any powers at all except to manipulate her students for her own ends.

While Marie might have found her way into the spotlight, her roommate, the ever-loveable Emma Meyer/Little Cricket (Lizze Broadway) is starting to feel left out, and her demeaning sexual romp with a fellow student hasn’t helped out her confidence. She soon comes to befriend the vampy Justine (Maia Jae Bastidas), who has made a name for herself in the world of Vought as an almost suped-up Kardashian and whose sexuality and edge make her a dangerous weapon. There’s plenty of back and forth between these two characters, and when Justine’s intentions for Emma come to light, it doesn’t lead to a pretty picture. Andre’s also has his own problems dealing with his manipulative father but soon finds himself, along with Cate, falling into the conspiracy that caused Luke’s rampage. And it’s not good.

Episode Two, ‘First Day’, ends on a showstopper, and whatever is happening behind the scenes and underground in Godolkin Univeristy is incredibly bad. Just where our characters all fit into it is still to be seen, but it’s starting to get juicy in Gen V.

Its move-in day at Godolkin University and Marie Moreau is ready for a fresh start and to make a name for herself. Marie finds help fitting in from her spirited new roommate, Emma. Meanwhile, all eyes and bets are on the university’s top-ranked hero, Golden Boy, for a spot in the coveted superhero team, The Seven. After Marie has a night out with Golden Boy, Andre, Cate and Jordan that goes awry, she realizes that being a hero isn’t what she thought.

Developed by Craig Rosenberg, Evan Goldberg and Eric Kripke, Gen V delivers a new spin on the world of The Boys, and makes for a cynical new take on the superhero expanding the world of the beloved series, and it’s a hell of meaty new watch. Heroes all start somewhere and in the world of The Boys, they begin at Godolkin University, the premiere Ivy League for tomorrow’s heroes. But even with such a prestigious university, there’s a defined hierarchy, and not all these would-be heroes will be guaranteed their shot. Add in a heightened, politically correct administration, the free use of mind-altering drugs, aggressive sex, a famed-obsessed and genuinely narcissistic graduate class, plus superpowers, and well, you have a diabolical cocktail of fun for audiences in Gen V.

Where The Boys was very much a ‘them vs us’ story, Gen V instead gives perspective to a new generation of superheroes who, despite their earth-shattering powers, are plagued by the myriad of mental issues and social problems that entrap all of us. Rosenberg, Goldberg and Kripke keep the drama interesting in Episode One, ‘God U’ and also help to set the stage for a dangerous conspiracy that is at play. This different perspective and point-of-view allows audiences a different point of entry to the world of The Boys, and we firmly get to see the world and actions from our leads right from their side. While we’re only at the start of Gen V, it’s clear that this is going to make for a very interesting series.

Our point of entry for Gen V is Jaz Sinclair’s Marie Moreau. A gifted blood bender with a savagely tragic past, Marie is the outsider at Godolkin University, and she’s about to have a hell of a wake-up call to how the ‘supe business’ actually works. Where image and social media clout are all that matters, Marie’s on the outside, until by chance she catches the eye of Godolkin’s resident Alpa stud, Golden Boy (Patrick Schwarzenegger). Now hanging with the cool kids, Marie’s life takes a bold new turn, and things get interesting and bloody fast! Sinclair is incredibly natural in the part, and she maintains a real point of difference in her character from the other performers in the show. We’re only at the beginning of this series, but I’m certain that she’s going to taken on one hell of a character journey.

Episode One, ‘God U’ introduces audiences to a raft of diverse and interesting characters…and they’re all fucked up! There’s big man on campus Luke Riordan/Golden Boy (Schwarzenneger), who’s the Alpha Male Chad on campus, and he’s ready to go all the way to the Seven! Andre Anderson (Chance Perdomo), a popular metal bender, who has serious daddy issues and is unsure of what he wants. The gender-bending Jordan Li (London Thor and Derek Luh) who has a serious chip on their shoulder and takes an instant dislike to Marie’s arrival and opinion of herself. Cate Dunlap (Maddie Phillips) is the Queen B of Godolkin U, and her catty, scrappy personality and ability to alter anyone’s mind makes her a threatening presence in the social hierarchy on campus. And finally, Emma Meyer/Little Cricket (Lizze Broadway), a full-grown-sized Supe who has the ability to shrink, might be all bubbly and goofy on the outside, but she’s got issues. It’s a collection of incredibly interesting characters, and they’ve all got a stake in the events of Gen V.

If you thought that Season Three opening of The Boys was messed-up, then wait till you see how messy Gen V gets. And damn is the series going to continue in the ‘there will be blood’ mantra of the series. ‘God U’ might only be the starting episode, but there’s a whole heap of violence and sex to keep audiences hooked in. Add in the powder keg of contemporary college life, and things are about to get interesting. But none of this excessive violence or sex is just for shock value, well it is, but there’s a real narrative purpose to all of this in Gen V, and just like The Boys, this series will get addictive.

Episode One, ‘God U’ is a hell of a start to a complex and intriguing new spin-off series, and it’s a bold new chapter in the world of The Boys. I’m watching with baited attention as to what happens next, and it’s going to get pretty damn wild as we move forward into the world…and secrets of Gen V.
