This brand-new trailer continues from the first-look teaser we received, and for fans eager to return to Westeros, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms promises to be an absolute delight. Notably, it focuses exclusively on the world of tournaments and the knights who compete in them. The series presents a highly ambitious and courageous story of chivalry and heroism as Ser Duncan the Tall enters the tourney scene, following the journeys of two of George R.R. Martin’s most beloved characters.

The new trailer conveys a sense of excitement and energy, and audiences seeking a tale of high adventure and significant action will find it in this series. A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms is generating considerable anticipation, showcasing a different aspect of the lands of Westeros. The story follows the steps of Joseph Campbell’s The Hero’s Journey, which promises a dynamic and engaging viewing experience.

While the teaser trailer provided a glimpse of what to expect from A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, the new trailer emphasises Ser Duncan’s struggle with his sworn oath and his responsibilities as a knight. He begins to realise that concepts of honour and justice often clash with the interests of the ruling elite. His actions as a knight inevitably lead him into conflict with the volatile, vindictive, and vicious Prince Aerion “Brightflame” Targaryen (Finn Bennett). This tale of steel-on-steel combat is bound to leave only one hero standing.

Here’s the official synopsis:

Based on George R.R. Martin’s ‘Fire & Blood’ novel, the series, set 200 years before the events of Game of Thrones, House of the Dragon tells the story of House Targaryen and the troubling times that will fall upon it due to internal conflict and the machinations of power.

This new trailer showcases an incredible amount of stunning new footage and showcases how the peace and tranquillity of Westeros is about to be undone by the ambitions, lusts and hunger for power of those who covet the iron throne.

With an impressive cast that includes Paddy Considine, Matt Smith, Olivia Cooke, Emma D’Arcy, Steve Toussaint, Eve Best, Sonoya Mizuno, Fabien Frankel, and Rhys Ifans, House of the Dragon will explore a time and place when Westeros was under the control of the great Dragon Banner, and when House Targaryen ruled the land.

Brace yourself for a monumental series when House of the Dragon arrives on August 22 on Sky Go and Neon.
