Here’s the official synopsis:

A mysterious serial killer, known only as “John Carver”, comes to a small town in Massachusetts with the intention of creating a Thanksgiving carving board out of the town’s inhabitants.

Based on the ‘faux’ trailer that Roth conceived for Robert Rodriguez and Quentin Tarantino’s Grindhouse double feature, the original Thanksgiving trailer shocked audiences with its adherence to holiday-themed horror and a considerable dose of gore and mayhem. Now, more than 16 years later, Roth brings his concept for Thanksgiving into reality, and it’s shaping up to be a gnarly and grisly watch.

This first teaser trailer gets to the point quickly as a joyous family holiday soon turns bloody. This first teaser showcases the old-school 80s slasher-horror vibe that Roth is looking to capitalise on, and its a first look that is sure to chill audiences and prime them for a very meaty watch.

Roth has also assembled a terrific cast with the likes of Addison Rae, Patrick Dempsey, and Rick Hoffman to bring this horror watch, and matched with its classic slasher vibes, and Thanksgiving will freak audiences out.

Brace yourself for the slashing when Thanksgiving arrives in cinemas on November 16.
