World War II began with the law. Adolf Hitler and the Nazi Party manipulated, rewrote, and weaponised Germany’s legal system in 1933, twisting democracy into dictatorship and stripping an entire population of their human rights. Six years later, the world plunged into unprecedented chaos and violence, costing tens of millions of lives. And when the Allies finally secured victory, they vowed that the law, not vengeance, would end the Nazi regime once and for all.

Now, filmmaker James Vanderbilt brings this monumental moment back into focus with Nuremberg, a haunting psychological thriller that plunges audiences straight into the firestorm of the Nuremberg Trials. This is one of 2026’s most gripping, must-see cinematic events.

The Allies, led by the unyielding chief prosecutor, Robert H. Jackson (Michael Shannon), have the task of ensuring the Nazi regime answers for the unveiled horrors of the Holocaust while a US Army psychiatrist (Rami Malek) is locked in a dramatic psychological duel with former Reichsmarschall Herman Göring (Russell Crowe).

Adapted from Jack El-Hai’s The Nazi and the Psychiatrist, Vanderbilt crafts an edge-of-your-seat narrative that blends historical authenticity with nail-tight tension. The story follows U.S. Army psychiatrist Lt. Colonel Douglas Kelley (Rami Malek), assigned to assess the mental state of the surviving Nazi elite. His greatest challenge: Hermann Göring (Russell Crowe), the last titan of the regime to stand trial.

The result is a battle of wills that ebbs and flows with chilling unpredictability. Even knowing the outcome, you sit in your seat holding your breath, because how this conflict unfolds is where the true terror resides.

Facing off in the heart of this story are two Academy Award-winning heavyweights: Russell Crowe and Rami Malek, both delivering some of their most searing work to date.

Crowe undergoes a complete transformation as Reichsmarschall Hermann Göring. This is not a caricature, but a dangerously charismatic statesman basking in his own grandeur. Crowe plays him with a chilling cocktail of charm, wit, narcissism, and razor-sharp intelligence.

Göring voluntarily surrenders himself and steps onto the world stage once more, determined to win what he sees as the final battle of the war in the courtroom. He twists words, baits opponents, and manipulates every conversation as he fights to evade responsibility for genocide. Crowe’s presence is magnetic; every scene pulses with danger as he reveals Göring not as a mythical monster, but as something far more unsettling: a human being whose decisions led to catastrophic destruction.

It’s one of Crowe’s finest performances in years; an awards-level embodiment of a man both grandiose and grotesque.

Opposite him stands Rami Malek as Lt. Colonel Douglas Kelley. At first, Kelley appears slick, fast-talking huckster, almost opportunistic; someone who sees a personal opportunity in Nuremberg’s chaos. But as he confronts the true horrors committed by the Nazi regime, something deep inside him ruptures.

Kelley’s journey becomes the emotional spine of the film. He desperately seeks to understand how such atrocities were possible, and whether humanity can prevent them from happening again. Malek matches Crowe beat for beat, and their psychological combat becomes a riveting, high-stakes duel between two extraordinary performers operating at the peak of their craft.

Their dynamic is pure cinematic electricity.

Michael Shannon brings stoic intensity as Associate Justice Robert H. Jackson, the man tasked with ensuring that the Nazi leaders are judged by law, not vengeance. Shannon’s performance grounds the film in moral purpose, and Vanderbilt uses the courtroom sequences to steadily escalate tension until it feels like the walls themselves might crack under the weight of history.

With Dariusz Wolski’s gritty cinematography and Tyler Bates’ haunting operatic score, Nuremberg becomes an atmospheric powerhouse. The production design vividly resurrects post-war Germany, a world still smouldering, struggling to understand what has happened and what comes next.

But Vanderbilt refuses to look away from the atrocities revealed in the trial. This is a confronting watch. A necessary one. And in the current global climate, its relevance is impossible to ignore.

Nuremberg is intelligent, gripping, emotionally devastating cinema, anchored by towering performances from Crowe and Malek. It’s a film of immense weight and profound purpose, and without question one of the year’s most important releases.

In a genre often dominated by indestructible heroes and over-the-top set pieces, The Amateur arrives like a jolt to the system, delivering a gritty, brainy spy thriller that trades bravado for vulnerability and spectacle for smarts.

After Charles “Charlie” Heller (Rami Malek), a CIA cryptographer, loses his wife in a London terrorist attack, he realizes his bosses will not act due to conflicting internal priorities. Having blackmailed the agency to train him as a field operative, Charlie embarks on a one-man mission to hunt down his wife’s killers.

In a bold change-up that’ll make audiences do a double take, Academy Award winner Rami Malek trades in the eccentricity of past roles for something far more grounded, and dangerous, in The Amateur. This taut, nerve-wracking spy thriller directed by James Hawes (One Life) feels like a pulse-pounding throwback to the gritty espionage cinema of the early 2000s, with the emotional gravity of The Bourne Identity and the intellectual bite of classic 1970s spy work such as Three Days of the Condor. The result leading to a gripping, high-stakes thriller that you absolutely need to sit up and take notice of.

Malek stars as Charlie Heller, a quiet, unassuming CIA cryptographer who lives behind the screens, building algorithms and maps rather than engaging in fieldwork. But when personal tragedy shatters his world, and the agency denies him justice, Heller takes matters into his own hands. What follows is a wild transformation from behind-the-desk analyst to vengeance-fueled vigilante. But this isn’t your typical revenge fantasy. Heller isn’t some ex-Navy SEAL or government-sanctioned James Bond assassin. He’s just an ordinary guy. An amateur. And that’s what makes The Amateur so damn compelling.

Malek is magnetic in the role, completely disappearing into Heller’s skin. He brings a twitchy, unpredictable energy to the part, making every decision feel lived-in and high-stakes. Heller’s brilliance as a coder is his greatest weapon, and watching him outsmart trained killers using nothing but tech know-how and grit is ridiculously satisfying. He’s not bulletproof. He’s not brave in the traditional sense. He panics. He stumbles. He bleeds. And yet, he persists. It’s this underdog spirit that gives The Amateur its soul, and Malek nails it.

Director James Hawes keeps the pressure dialed up with razor-sharp pacing and sleek, atmospheric cinematography. The film globe-trots with kinetic energy, moving from shadowy safehouses to sun-bleached foreign locales, but always rooted in Heller’s personal mission. The action isn’t bombastic or over-the-top, this is a thinking man’s thriller. It’s brains over brawn, strategy over spectacle. And yet, when the bullets fly, the impact is felt. Every fight matters. Every kill stings. Hawes also isn’t afraid to inject moments of dry, ironic humor—mostly from Heller’s bumbling attempts to navigate the espionage world he’s clearly not trained for. There’s something wickedly fun about watching this soft-spoken tech guy try (and fail, then succeed) to play James Bond. These moments give the film levity without undercutting its dramatic core.

Backing up Malek is a killer supporting cast. Laurence Fishburne is pitch-perfect as Colonel Robert ‘Hendo’ Henderson, the grizzled CIA vet tasked with training Heller for the field. Fishburne brings gravitas and a steely-souled warrior spirit to the character, and the mentorship-turned-mutual-respect dynamic he builds with Malek is a highlight. Caitríona Balfe turns heads in a layered, mysterious role that adds emotional complexity and tension, while Jon Bernthal is effortlessly cool as Jackson O’Brien, a hardened field agent whose initial swagger gives way to unexpected camaraderie with Heller. Their scenes crackle with energy, and Bernthal, as always, owns the screen.

But at its core, The Amateur is about transformation — what happens when an ordinary man is pushed to extraordinary limits. It’s about revenge, yes, but also resilience. About how intelligence can be just as dangerous as firepower. It’s a thriller that wears its heart and its brain on its sleeve.

With its sharp script, emotional depth, and a standout performance from Malek, The Amateur feels like a breath of fresh air in the spy genre. It’s gritty, cerebral, and unexpectedly heartfelt. If you’re craving a thriller that actually thrills—with brains, bullets, and a whole lot of soul—The Amateur delivers in spades.

What happens when you cross the line in the search for justice? What happens when the need for the truth leads you to obsession? These are just a few of the questions that director John Lee Hancock chooses to focus on in his burning neo-noir detective narrative The Little Things. And with an incredible cast with three Academy Award winners, including Denzel Washington, Rami Malek and Jared Leto, he takes audiences into a dark corner of the human soul that rarely gets explored.

Clashes between Kern County Deputy Sheriff Joe “Deke” Deacon (Washington) and L.A. Sheriff Department Sergeant Jim “Jimmy” Baxter (Malek) occur during the investigation of a serial killer (Leto).

Director John Lee Hancock brings a singular focus to the narrative of The Little Things, a film which he both wrote and directed. And the result is a powerfully dark and intense neo-noir detective story that pulls audiences in and won’t let them go. Best described as a slow-burn crime story, Hancock places his attention on building out a true detective story, where the focus is on the investigation of the crime and the conflict that it causes its detectives. Mixing two distinct methodologies of two very different police officers keeps things interesting on screen and Hancock’s approach to the genre and story of his film leads to plenty of unexpected twists, and very interesting turns that you won’t see coming.

Having nurtured this story for over twenty years, having first conceived it in 1996, Hancock has really taken his time to get things right and the result shows up on screen. While quintessentially a serial killer, crime investigation story, The Little Things examines key themes of investigation, justice, intuition and obsession, and these central ideas keep this story fresh and interesting. While we’ve all seen the quintessential ‘serial killer/detective story’, The Little Things keeps you off guard thanks to its slow-burn pace and the mounting tension that grips it’s three central characters. For audiences who like a film that makes you think, Hancock really delivers something interesting and crafts a film that is a very clever watch.

Taking on one part of the acting triple threat in The Little Things is two-time Academy Award winner Denzel Washington as Kern County Deputy Sheriff Joe “Deke” Deacon. Deke is a complex, unorthodox and haunted man, who has a serious reputation and is possessed of an unwavering intensity and dark secret that haunts him to this day. As a gifted investigator, he can step into the mind of a killer enabling him to find ways into a case that others might miss. But this ‘gift’ marks him out as a pariah by his fellow officers, and he’s an unwanted presence in Los Angeles.

Deke gives Washington a complex and dark figure to portray, and Hancock takes audiences inside his broken mind and the waking hallucinations that he suffers from. It’s an intense portrayal on behalf of Washington and audiences journey to a very grim place through this character.

Standing beside Washington’s Deke is fellow Academy Award winner Rami Malek as LASD Det. Jim Baxter and this is a sharp turn for the actor. Where Malek has made a career for himself portraying oddballs and outliers, in The Little Things he’s fundamentally the straight man. As Baxter, Malek brings an unwavering intensity and focus to this hotshot young detective who has been handed the reigns of a big-time murder investigation and his burning intensity to find his killer casts a big shadow across his life and career.

In The Little Things, we see a different side to Malek, and he excels as this very stoic and by the book character. Where Deke is one to cut corners, Baxter is a by-the-book kind of character and this leads to some great interaction and character conflict. Malek really holds the attention of the screen and shares a unique chemistry with Washington and audiences will get a kick out of seeing these two together up on the big screen.

Bringing max creep factor to The Little Things, and completing the film’s acting triple threat is Academy Award winner Jared Leto, and he’s incredibly scary in this one. As would-be serial killer Albert Sparma, Leto is offputting and brings to life a character that is sure to make your skin crawl as this almost vagabond-pervert creep. There’s definitely something off about Sparma, and he knows far more than he’s letting on about. Leto is known for bringing some serious madness to his method acting persona, and he changes himself up as this bloated, greasy-haired freak whose attention soon becomes fixated on Deke and Baxtor.

The Little Things embraces the neo-noir genre to its full advantage and one of Hancock’s most important collaborators in bringing this film to life is cinematographer John Schwartzman. Schwazrtman has worked across all genres and here in The Little Things he centres his camera on the use of dark and brooding shadows and his harsh lighting teases out the darkness that threatens to envelop our characters. This use of high contrast shadows is very reminiscent of classic film noir chiaroscuro lighting and firmly cement you in the film’s dark story. A consistent green colour palette of various tonal hues keeps the audience off guard and makes the images presented here very memorable.

As a detective story, The Little Things slow-burn narrative appealed to me and I enjoyed how Hancock, Washington, Malek and Leto toyed with their viewer’s emotions and understanding of the narrative. This is not your typical noir thriller, and it tries things and takes risks that make it interesting as a film to watch. So rarely do we get a Hollywood blockbuster that takes an established genre and really flips it on its head in regards to narrative process, but that’s exactly what The Little Things does, and noted fans of the noir genre will be pleased with the results they see here.

Dark, brooding and incredibly clever, The Little Things is a very intellectually stimulating watch and your mind will really tick with this one. Washington, Malek and Leto get to do something special here, and if you’re wanting to experience a different side of a long-established genre this one is a very interesting watch.

After a long wait, and following the release of a fantastic new poster, the brand new trailer for No Time To Die is here and promises an incredible blockbuster spy-thriller adventure.

Check it out below:

Here’s the official synopsis:

James Bond (Daniel Craig) has left active service and is enjoying a tranquil life in Jamaica. His peace is short-lived when his old friend Felix Leiter (Jeffrey Wright) from the CIA turns up asking for help. The mission to rescue a kidnapped scientist turns out to be far more treacherous than expected, leading Bond onto the trail of a mysterious villain armed with dangerous new technology.

From its opening frame this new trailer throws audiences right into the action, and sets things up for a roaring action adventure as secret agent 007 James Bond (Daniel Craig) is drawn back into a dangerous new game of cat and mouse with a terrifying and calculating new villain known as Safin (Rami Malek), that will test him to his limits.

The action looks bold and uncompromising in No Time To Die, and this is mixed together with a solid narrative and performances.

One of the greatest things about this new trailer is that we get a better insight into the character of Safin, who is played by Academy Award winner Rami Malik, with plenty of calculated terror. With a grace that blurs the line between hero and villain, Malik’s Safin appears to be some kind of twisted madman with a warped savior complex who is willing to burn the entire world down to reach his ultimate end. Unless Bond can stop him first.

This fifth and final chapter of the Daniel Craig James Bond saga is shaping up to be something very special and this trailer is freaking awesome, and is setting audiences up for a wildly fun time at the movies!

Following on from the release of a brand new set of posters, and its first trailer teaser, we now have the official trailer for the 25th James Bond film, No Time To Die, and it’s a total rush!

Watch the brand new trailer below:

Here’s the official synopsis:

James Bond has left active service when his friend Felix Leiter enlists his help in the search for a missing scientist. When it becomes apparent that the scientist was abducted, Bond must confront a danger the likes of which the world has never seen before.

Starring Daniel Craig in his fifth and final performance as super spy 007 James Bond, No Time To Die picks up with Bond enjoying the leisure life after leaving the service before he is recalled back into it after a deadly new threat is discovered.

In terms of the viewing experience, this new trailer really delivers the blockbuster edge that we’ve come to expect from the Bond films and this one is going to be sterling.

Not only do we get some big surprises from Bond’s past being pulled into focus, but director Cary Fukunaga has really cranked up the action and the set pieces, including one hell of a chase scene through the streets of Matera, Italy that involves the classic Aston Martin DB5.

This first trailer also offers us our first look at Rami Malek’s mysterious villain Safin, and he’s got an unbelievably creepy menace about him that is sure to rattle Bond’s cage. We get to see them go head-to-head within the trailer and Bond fans are going to be very excited to see this showdown.

As for 007 himself, Daniel Craig owns the trailer and the actor looks like he has given everything of himself to this grand cinematic adventure. Since first being cast in the role of James Bond back in 2005, Craig has re-shaped the legacy of the character and updated the super spy with a level of uber-masculine cool and that continues here in No Time To Die.

Brace yourself for an action-packed adrenaline rush when No Time To Die arrives in cinemas next year on April 9, 2020.

Highlighting the presence of Daniel Craig as James Bond, along with the film’s central cast who include Rami Malek as Safin, Léa Seydoux as Dr. Madeleine Swann, Ben Whishaw as Q, Lashana Lynch as Nomi and Ana de Armas as Paloma, there’s a great graphical classicness to these characters, and so far the vibe of this film appears to be evoking the classic 1960s Dr. No feeling, and these posters are sure to get any long time Bond fan excited.

These posters are of great significance because this is also the first time that we’ve laid eyes on Rami Malek’s mysterious new villain, Safin, who has been described by long time Bond producer Barbara Broccoli as “the one that really gets under Bond’s skin. He’s a nasty piece of work”.

Audiences won’t have to wait long to get our first look at No Time To Die now with the impending arrival of the new trailer.

This new image arrives courtesy of the film’s official Instagram account and again showcases a Bond that is on the edge, and that can no-doubt bleed. Ever since 2006’s Casino Royale we’ve seen a Bond who is not infallible and totally human as he’s pushed to the limit, but through strength of will and commitment always manages to complete his mission.

Everyone involved with No Time To Die is really pushing for this film to the biggest and most exciting installment of the franchise ever, and with talent such as Craig, Malek and director Cary Joji Fukunaga, I’m in no doubt that we’ll be in for something very exciting here.

Here’s the official synopsis for No Time To Die:

James Bond has left active service when his friend Felix Leiter enlists his help in the search for a missing scientist. When it becomes apparent that the scientist was abducted, Bond must confront a danger the likes of which the world has never seen before.

Get ready for Daniel Craig’s final turn as James Bond when No Time To Die arrives in cinemas on April 4, 2020.

Bond 25 was officially announced at Ian Fleming’s legendary Goldeneye estate in Jamaica and the film’s official cast were shown off to the world:

Check out the official synopsis below:

James Bond (Daniel Craig) has left active service and is living in Jamaica when his friend Felix Leiter (Jeffrey Wright) enlists his help in the search for a missing scientist. When it becomes apparent that they were abducted, Bond must confront a danger the likes of which the world has never seen.

Along with the return of Craig as Bond, other cast who will be returning to the film include Léa Seydoux as Dr. Madeleine Swann, Naomie Harris as Eve Moneypenny, Rory Kinnear as Bill Tanner, Ben Whishaw as Q, Jeffrey Wright as Felix Leiter and Ralph Fiennes as M.

In addition to the series principal cast a group of talented new performers has also been added to the film who include Ana de Armas, Dali Benssalah, Lashana Lynch and Billy Magnussen, and whose roles are currently unspecified.

Bond 25’s biggest reveal though was the confirmation that recent Academy Award winner Rami Malek (Bohemian Rhapsody) will serve as the primary antagonist to Bond in the new film. While nothing was revealed about his role, Malek said that he’s going to give Craig “a run for his money”, and given his talent and range of acting expression he’ll certainly create something very memorable here.

Talented filmmaker Cary Joji Fukunaga (True Detective, Jane Eyre) is at the helm this time for Bond 25 and it’s going to be one epic production with filming locations including Norway, Jamaica, Italy, London as well as a significant amount of filming taking place in Bond’s famed home of Pinewood Studios.

Ever since 2006’s Casino Royale Daniel Craig has brought a sense of intensity, toughness and deep character to the role of James Bond and in the 13 years that he’s been portraying the character he’s cemented himself as one of the all-time action greats. Now with Bond 25 we’ll get to see him in one final triumphant performance when Bond 25 arrives in cinemas next year on April 9, 2020.
