Trainspotting 2 looks to be an absolutely crazy cinematic experience and will examine the lives of its characters two decades on from the last time we saw them. Boyle and original screenwriter John Hodge have created an uncontrollable carnival of imagery, light and sound as Renton (McGregor) and his friends meet up again and fall under the spell of the EDM drug scene.

Trainspotting 2 will be released in cinemas on January 27, 2017 in the US and UK and on February 2 in New Zealand and Australia.
