Here’s the official synopsis:

The Iron Claw centres around the Von Erich family, a dynasty of wrestlers from the 1960s onwards that had enormous success, and popularized the iron claw professional wrestling hold. However, they not only had to battle inside the ring, but fight the “Von Erich curse” outside of it.

Director Sean Durkin takes audiences back to the peak of the 1980s wrestling scene and the rise of the Von Erichs, Kevin (Zac Efron), Kerry (Jeremy Allen White), David (Harris Dickinson) and Mike (Stanley Simons), sons to the legendary Fritz Von Erich, and all who seek glory in the ring. Through trial and tribulation, these men forge themselves into living gods and take the wrestling world by storm. Bonded by family and life, they seem invincible. Until they aren’t, the pain, trauma and tragedy of their chosen profession become all too real, and they are soon overwhelmed by a catastrophe that none of them can stop.

Efron, White and Dickinson give their all in this picture, and each of them has undertaken one hell of a physical transformation. Efron and White have especially packed on some solid muscle, with Efron looking absolutely jacked and White gaining 40 pounds of muscle to bring the force and presence that Kerry Von Erich took to the ring. All the actors throw themselves into the ring, and there are some particularly gnarly set pieces that will make the screen shake.

But alongside the bravado and hype of this family’s larger-than-life story comes the heavy-hitting drama and the ultimate tragedy that scarred their lives, and the family dynamics of The Iron Claw is where the picture will hit the hardest. The trailer makes for a heavy-hitting watch, and The Iron Claw is a picture audiences will really get behind when it arrives in cinemas on January 18, 2024.

The first trailer has been released, and it is truly colourful and astounding. Check it out below:

Here’s the synopsis:

Following an unsuccessful career as a banker, Phineas Taylor Barnum (Hugh Jackman) takes a chance on his passions and creates the world’s most elaborate circus act, The Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus. 

The Greatest Showman has long been Jackman’s passion project and he has nurtured the film from script to screen for the past seven years. Alongside director Michael Gracey, Jackman is promising audiences a lavish visual spectacle that will recall the grand musicals of the 1930s and 1940s and will once again allow him to unleash his voice just as he did back in 2012’s Les Misérables.

Joining Jackman in the film is a very talented supporting cast including Zac Efron as Barnum’s assistant Phillip Carlyle, Rebecca Ferguson as famed opera singer Jenny Lind, Zendaya as trapeze artist Anne Wheeler and Michelle Williams as Barnum’s wife Charity.

The Greatest Showman is a cinematic spectacle that audiences won’t soon forget so prepare to run away to the circus on December 25 in the US and UK and on December 26 in New Zealand and Australia.

If laughter is what you want then you’ve come to the right place, with Bad Neighbours 2 throwing out all the rules when it comes to physical comedy. It’s fast, kinetic, and unstoppable, and there are no limits as to how far stars Seth Rogen, Zac Efron (reprising his role as former sorority head Teddy) and Chloe Grace Moretz will go. The infamous ‘air bags’ are also back for one seriously painful stunt that will leave audiences in fits of laughter.

While Rogen is his usual funny self, it is the younger cast who really steal the show here. Efron makes the biggest transformation of all the characters from the first film, with Teddy having now become lost and disillusioned with life as a result of his all party philosophy. While he is looking to get back at the girls of Kappa Nu, he’s really trying to find a family and a place for himself in this world, and his search for personal growth yields hilarious results.

Matching Teddy is Moretz’s Shelby, a former lonely teenager who is determined to break the rules and have as much fun as she wants during her college years. While Shelby is determined to break all the stereotypes of what it means to be an American college girl, as well as destroying the rampant sexism that she sees within the Greek system, she has a genuine level of care for her ‘sisters’, and even this rubs off on Kelly and Mac.

While Bad Neighbours 2 has plenty of gross-out humour, and will have audiences in hysterics from beginning to end, it’s primarily the themes of acceptance and family that really make it work. I encourage you to give this one a go…you’ll be thoroughly amused.
