The score for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is a phenomenal piece of orchestration that builds upon Zimmer’s previous score for 2013’s Man of Steel, and offers compelling new rifts with standout tracks including ‘Beautiful Lie’, ‘Is She With You?’,  ‘The Red Capes Are Coming’, and ‘Do You Bleed?’.

The official soundtrack is available now to download from Itunes, and it’ll definitely get you in the mood for the full feature which opens in cinemas on March 24 in Australia and New Zealand and on March 25 in the US and UK.

Titled ‘Men Are Still Good’, this part of the score is the official theme for Ben Affleck’s Batman. Like all good Batman scores, the sample track has a commanding rift and beat that suggests notions of power, and will likely symbolise the darkness at the heart of Bruce Wayne, and the force of justice that drives him as Batman.

Holkenberg has been making a name for himself in Hollywood over the last few years with solid orchestral pieces for 300: Rise of An Empire and Mad Max: Fury Road, and he’s teamed up with his mentor and Hollywood orchestral legend, Hans Zimmer, for the Batman v Superman score. Holkenberg will handle all the scoring for Batman, while Zimmer will oversee everything for Superman, following on from his work in Man of Steel.

You’ll be able to hear more of Zimmer and Holkenberg’s incredible work when the battle rages between Batman and Superman on March 24 in Australia and New Zealand, and on March 25 in the US and UK.
