Words first immortalised by Sir Sean Connery still echo through pop culture — and now they’re ringing louder than ever. After years of anticipation, Highlander is officially back, with Henry Cavill confirming that Chad Stahelski’s long-gestating remake is now in production. Cavill marked the moment by sharing a first-look image on Instagram, revealing himself as the film’s lead: the immortal Scottish warrior Connor MacLeod.

Clad in a long leather trench coat and gripping a samurai sword, Cavill cuts a striking figure — every inch the modern MacLeod. It’s only a tease, but it speaks volumes. With Stahelski (John Wick) behind the camera, the neo-noir edge and kinetic intensity feel baked into the DNA already, positioning Highlander as one of 2026’s most hotly anticipated action projects.

Stahelski isn’t just rebooting the franchise; he’s expanding it. The filmmaker has been vocal about deepening the mythology and pushing beyond the boundaries of the original source material, and he’s assembled a formidable cast to do it. Russell Crowe steps into the mentor role of Ramirez, Dave Bautista brings brute menace as The Kurgan, Karen Gillan stars as Heather MacLeod, and Drew McIntyre takes on Angus MacLeod. Marisa Abela leads as the film’s female protagonist, with Djimon Hounsou, Kevin McKidd, and Jeremy Irons also confirmed in undisclosed roles.

With Stahelski’s razor-sharp action sensibilities and Cavill’s commanding screen presence at its centre, Highlander is shaping up to be a thunderous, sword-clashing spectacle — and one immortals (and mortals) alike won’t want to miss.

Whenever macho auteur filmmaker Guy Ritchie steps behind the camera it’s a cause for genuine celebration, and he’s dialling up the action and going full-bore at the end of a STEN as he takes audiences back to a daring commando raid that would help to change the course of WWII forever in the riotous fun of The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare.

British Prime Minister Winston Churchill and a group of military officials hatch a daring plan to neutralise Hitler’s fleet of German U-boats during World War II. Made up of a motley crew of rogues and mavericks, the top-secret combat unit uses unconventional techniques to battle the Nazis and change the course of the war.

When Guy Ritchie steps behind the camera, you know you’re going to get a hard-charging dose of pure machismo. The latest work from this self-described “cashmere caveman” is a rollicking good bit of fun. Drawing from true historical sources and the clandestine actions of the Special Operations Executive and the Small Scale Raiding Force (SSRF) in their role in Operation Postmaster, the first-ever Special Forces mission designed to cripple the Nazi U-Boat power and their hold over the Pacific.

From the moment it starts, you know that The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare is going to be good. Ritchie brings his unique sense of creativity and play to the picture, and his use of high-powered action mixed in with deft comedic moments will keep audiences on guard. Step by step, the momentum of the picture moves forward at pace.

While watching The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare, you feel as if you’re observing a group of modern-day pirates. At the commission of Sir Winston Churchill, they’ve been given the command to “Cry ‘Havoc!’, and let slip the dogs of war.” Ritchie and his cast and crew have a blast with this sensational yet entirely true story of a group of outsiders, reprobates, and insubordinates who, when their country called upon them, stepped up to the call of duty and went all the way to deliver a significant blow to Hitler’s war effort. The film has an almost ‘Spaghetti Western’ vibe to it, but even with its quick-witted characters and outlandish action, The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare is a deeply serious matter. This is a do-or-die mission where only total victory will do.

Taking commando of this unruly group of commando pirates is Henry Cavill in the role of Major Gus March-Phillipps, a wily and clever soldier who is not fond of rules and intends to break them and who will lead the fight into the Valley of the Beast of Operation Postmaster. Cavill is a perfect fit for the sharp and quick-witted March-Phillipps, and he moves quickly to establish his mission, and he’ll go to great lengths to see it completed. It’s fantastic to see Cavill back in league with Ritchie, and the two are having a blast as Cavill is in full hero mode and taking out Nazi’s left, right and centre at the end of a silenced STEN gun. He’s an apt leader for this ‘man on a mission’ picture, and it’s a radically different type of character that allows Cavill to play with his range as an actor and try something new as this almost ‘prototypical’ James Bond-esque spy leader.

Assembled behind Cavil is a whose-who of talent, including Alan Ritchson, Eiza González, Henry Golding, Alex Pettyfer, Babs Olusanmokun, Hero Fiennes Tiffin, Cary Elwes, Freddie Fox, and Rory Kinnear as Churchill. All of them leave their mark on the picture, and each has their moment to shine, something that Ritchie is good at doing with his characters. Standouts from the cast include Alan Ritchson as the hulking ‘Danish Viking’ Anders Lassen, a deer-hunting, bear-wrestling aristocrat turned Nazi hunter who utilises a bow and arrow and sheer ferocity to take out his sworn enemies. And he’s a hoot to watch. Eiza González brings incredible class and sophistication as SOE agent Marjorie Stewart, who has the task of seducing high-ranking Nazi Heinrich Luhr (Til Schweiger) and whose mission is a personal one. Henry Golding is a filled pyromaniac glee as explosives expert Freddy Alvarez, and he makes everything go BOOM. Freddie Fox is a deft choice as Ian Fleming, and Rory Kinnear is utterly brilliant as Sir Winston Churchill.

The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare has a swift kinetic pace, and Ritchie clarifies that this is a do-or-die mission. Ritchie keeps things interesting, throwing problem after problem at Cavill’s March-Phillipps and his pirates. This keeps the tension of the picture interesting and gives our heroes some real stakes to go after. The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare is a real throwback to those classic war pictures and action films that we grew up on, and you’re fully invested as an audience member. As the mission to infiltrate the island of Fernando Po draws nearer and nearer, the tautness of the picture escalates, and you’ll be holding on for dear life as these brave men and women go into the fire against a guns-blazing Nazi defence. Hot lead is spent, and things go BOOM very quickly, and The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare is a damn explosive narrative to witness.

Guy Ritchie’s The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare is an epic WWII thriller with all the trimmings, and it will have your adrenal gland working overtime. This is an exciting, daring and clever piece of work, and it is a tribute to the men and women of the SOE who went beyond their duty and whose actions saved our world for good. It’s a truly heroic story in every sense of the word, and in my mind, it is the type of picture audiences desperately need now. It’s fun, zany and utterly adrenaline-soaked, and you’ll have the time of your life watching it.

While he may have been forced to hang up the cape as Superman, Henry Cavill is moving ahead quickly and is looking to bring his passion for Games Workshop’s celebrated Warhammer 40,000 game to audiences with a new series for Prime Video.

As reported by The Hollywood Reporter, Cavill is lining up to star and executive produce a new live-action adaptation of Warhammer 40,000 for Prime Video. Prime Video has secured the rights to the game, produced by Games Workshop, after months of negotiations and fending off rival companies that also sought the rights. This is envisioned as a potential film and TV play.

Cavill took to Instragam today to confirm his involvement in the new project, and his enthusiasm was on full display, especially with the use of a #ForTheEmperor hashtag.

Currently, no writers or showrunners are attached to the Warhammer 40,000 project and it is currently in development alongside Vertigo Entertainment, which secured the rights alongside Cavill. Vertigo will executive produce with Cavill and GAW’s Andy Smillie and Max Bottrill, along with Amazon Studios.

“It’s great news and we’re absolutely thrilled; we’re working with a fantastic triumvirate in Henry, Vertigo, and Amazon. Henry’s well-known love of Warhammer 40,000—and his passion as a world-builder and storyteller—will serve us all well in the coming years. Finally, Warhammer will make it to the screen as the fans have hoped, and as they deserve. Exciting times!” said Andy Smillie, creative director of GAW.

The prospect of a Warhammer 40,000 series from Prime Video is incredibly exciting and with a super fan like Henry Cavill at the forefront, this could turn into something marvellous. While there’s no indication of what the story would be it’s likely that he’ll take on some kind of character from the Adeptus Astartes also known as the Space Marines, and has in past said that he’d be very interested in adapting the story of Gregor Eisenhorn, a famed, honourable and brutal Inquisitor of the Imperium of Mankind, and has brought up the character in previous interviews. But we’ll just have to see where this goes from here.

It’s still early days on where we’re at with any possible Warhammer 40,000 adaptation but with Prime Video adapting the series and Henry Cavill leading the charge it’s going to be extremely exciting so watch this space.

To achieve an ultimate vision is to fight for it, and that is what director Zack Snyder has done, in more ways than one, with the completion and presentation of Zack Snyder’s Justice League, a four-hour cinema epic that brings to life his true vision for superhero blockbuster Justice League and it’s AWESOME.

Following the death of Superman in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Batman and Wonder Woman recruit the Flash, Aquaman, and Cyborg to form the Justice League and protect the world from Steppenwolf and his army of Parademons, who seek the three Mother Boxes.

As a director, Zack Snyder is one of the most polarizing figures to step behind-the-camera. Right from the beginning, he has done things his way, and he’s always worked to make movies that carry his own unique artistic expression. And this is a director who will not compromise on his artistic vision. But through no-fault of his own and a deeply personal tragedy, he had to walk away from 2017’s Justice League and so could not bring his ultimate vision to life. But through a commitment and desire from the fans, who held a burning desire to see Snyder’s true vision for this movie come to life, we now have Zack Snyder’s Justice League…and it has been well worth the wait.

If you are a Zack Snyder fan you’re going to love this movie. With the presentation of Zack Snyder’s Justice League, our director gets to show-off his unique visual presence, and all of his trademark calling cards are present here. From his unique grim dark setting to the exploration of mythic archetypes, to the frequent use of slow-motion action sequences and impressive, grand visual effects, all of it is present in Zack Snyder’s Justice League, and Snyder dials it all the way up. While audiences may have seen this film before, Snyder’s new presentation presents the film in a far different light, and we get to go much deeper into the story he is telling and are able to gleam new insights, narrative points and character developments because of the new cut.

At just over four hours long, Snyder really takes his time in crafting this cut of Justice League, and it’s an entirely different watch. Snyder is able to pace out the gigantic presentation through the use of an innovative chapter system, and this gives the film a rhythm and energy that keeps the film moving forward. While I won’t go into any type of strong specifics around the narrative, I will say that he places his attention of capturing the mythic quality of the Justice League and the characters that make up the DCEU. Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman have always been presented as iconic, archetypal characters, and Snyder presents them so in this way in this cut. And the appearance of these characters, as they are truly meant to be, makes for a far more engaging viewing experience as an audience member.

Along with presenting a new side to this story, Snyder also presents it in a whole new way thanks to his use of the 1.33:1 aspect ratio, which leads to a much fuller image. Snyder has long been a fan of this aspect ratio and it takes the scale and scope of Zack Snyder’s Justice League to a whole new level. The images are fuller, with more detail being captured, and the result is a far grander presentation of an epic blockbuster cinematic event. Snyder’s focus on capturing these iconic characters in this new format creates an experience that I can relate back to the grand vision of David Lean and cinematographer Freddie Young, and their ability to inspire epic cinematic moments, and that’s exactly what Snyder has done here in his new cut of Justice League.

One of the most exciting parts about witnessing Zack Snyder’s Justice League is the new presentation of the core six members of the Justice League. Batman (Ben Affleck), Superman (Henry Cavill), Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot), Aquaman (Jason Momoa), The Flash (Ezra Miller) and Cyborg (Ray Fisher) are all presented in a bold new light, and these new narratives and character developments are very fun to watch. But it’s the villains that keep things interesting in this one. Not only do we see a far more aggressive and demonic presentation of Ciaran Hinds Steppenwolf, who mercilessly hunts for the Mother Boxes, but we also get a deeper look into the sinister character of DeSaad and the world of Apokolips, and Jack Kirby fans will be pleased with what’s on offer. But it’s Ray Porter as intergalactic tyrant Darkseid who really steals the show and let it be known that Darkseid Is.

Zack Snyder’s Justice League also delivers heavily on the spectacle and action fans will be very pleased with the result. Snyder dials everything up, and the outcome is a bigger, meaner action push that is sure to give you a rush. Plus there’s also the helpful addition of a coveted R-rating, and this gives the film’s fight scenes some serious edge. Snyder doesn’t over-do his R-rating, and he’s certainly not aggressive with it, but like everything else present in this film, an R-rating is beneficial to Snyder in that it allows him to go into greater depth within this narrative and push it further. Snyder presents previous action scenes from the 2017 film in a completely brand new light and this again leads to a far more engaging and complete experience for audiences.

While I won’t go into any specific points on actual scenes from the film or dispel any serious plot points I will say one of my favourite parts of the film was a brand new ‘Knightmare’ sequence. Following in the footsteps of the Knightmare sequence from Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, this Knightmare sequence features a meeting between two legendary characters, and it’s utterly epic. This scene, and in fact the whole film are a tribute to Zack Snyder’s immense creativity and desire to push the envelope with the possibilities of the narrative of Justice League and the result is a very exciting watch for long time DC Comics fans and for those who want to see these characters portrayed as the icons that they were created as.

But ultimately, Zack Snyder’s Justice League is a gift from a father to his daughter. It was during the production that Zack Snyder lost his adoptive daughter Autumn to the tragedy of suicide and it was a shocking event that rocked the production to its core and had an immense impact on Snyder’s family in the most devastating way possible. But through a strong sense of resilience, determination and love, Snyder was able to complete his vision for this epic film, and the final result is a way for the filmmaker to honour his daughter. It’s this ultimate act that makes this film so compelling and heroic and you can’t help but be moved by the director’s actions to honour his daughter this way.

Zack Snyder’s Justice League is a massive film of breathtaking scale and epicness and is the result of a filmmaker’s grand vision brought to life. It’s an utter masterwork, and fans will be extremely pleased by the final product and the experience of seeing these icons re-envisioned in all their heroic glory. It’s simply awesome.

Catch Zack Snyder’s Justice League on NEON and SKY GO on Thursday 18 May.

We’re just over two weeks away from the release of Zack Snyder’s Justice League, an ambitious four-hour cut that is true to director Zack Snyder’s complete vision for this film and its characters. And now Snyder has taken audiences behind-the-scenes of the film in a special fan event.

As a part of IGN’s Fan Fest event, audiences got up close and personal with Snyder in a special Q&A presentation where Snyder took audiences behind-the-scenes of the making of this film, and he gave us some fascinating insights into his process as a director.

Watch the full interview below:

Discussing a range of topics from the official run time, which Snyder hinted was just over four hours, “four hours and a few minutes, including titles”, the creation of Superman’s Black Suit, the path of Bruce Wayne taking to find redemption, and just how Ray Fisher’s Cyborg is in the director’s eye the heart of the movie.

Fan questions streamed in from around the world, including a question from big-time Justice League fan and actor Henry Lennox, who portrays General Calvin Swanwick and who acquired about his possible position as fan favourite character Martian Manhunter.

To which Snyder replied, “in my mind, I think he’s been, Swanwick and Martian Manhunter, it’s like his alter ego. That’s kind of the way I see it. And the way he’s kind of if you notice the way he kind of, he’s manipulated both Lois and Clark to kind of do their best. Y’know to be the best they can be. Cause I think in this incarnation he wants humanity to kind of do it themselves with this new hero in Superman. And that’s kind of the way I think about it.”

Snyder also gave a major insight into Academy Award winner Jared Leto’s return to the DCEU as The Joker, and discussed the inspiration behind his new look in the Snyder Cut.

“So what inspired the look was sort of the post-apocalyptic world that I’m a huge fan of, and really the idea what that as the movies progressed, the next movie if there ever was one, and it doesn’t;t seem like there ever will be, but if there was, it would primarily be set in that world with them trying to set it right. We played around a lot with a lot of different things, I did a bunch of drawings, we pulled a bunch of different costumes and tried a bunch of different looks, Jared had great ideas and we all kind of mashed that together and sort of settled on this cool version of Joker,” said Snyder.

One of my favourite parts of the interview had to be when Snyder discussed his plans for the multi-arc Justice League saga, which unfortunately fans never got to see, but he did discuss how he would have handled the additional two film’s.

“Well, it was meant to be two more movies. [Justice League] doesn’t encompass any more of the additional movies other than little hints as you would at a potential other world. Y’know like when you, y’know like I plant the seeds I wanted to of what would come in the later films. So that’s in there, but as to those stories that would be yet to come if it happened, which is not like it would, It’s easy to speculate based on that.”

Snyder also commented about cliffhangers saying, “it is a cliffhanger. The movie ends in a massive cliffhanger. Yeah”, said Snyder grinning widely.

Discussing the presence of further environments and characters in Justice League including Joe Manganiello’s Deathstroke and the Knightmare sequence, Snyder elaborated saying, “well, Joe’s character in this movie when we find him, clearly he and Batman have struck some sort of a deal, y’know they have a bit of a partnership, there’s a bigger enemy I guess. That’s the big difference they’re not locked in mortal combat, they’re actually working together to try and figure out how to make this world work.”

On the Knightmare sequence, which the director confirmed was the setting for the entire second Justice League movie in his proposed trilogy, Snyder said “it’s relatively minimal, but I think it’s appropriate for the movie, it’s not anything crazy. But it um, it definitely y’know doesn’t overstay its welcome but definitely does what I needed it to do for the story and for us.”

Fans can also expect to view the film in Snyder’s original 1.33:1 aspect ratio, of which the film was shot, and of which the director is a massive fan of when it comes to viewing media.

Alongside all the details we got from the director himself, fans were also lucky enough to enjoy a brand new piece of footage termed The Mother Box Origins, which presented a new look at our central six characters, and which is set to the strong vocals of Tom Waits ‘Time’.

One of 2021’s most anticipated releases is Zack Snyder’s Justice League, also affectionately known as the Snyder Cut, which will present a brand new, unseen side to 2017’s Justice League with Snyder re-cutting the film to reflect his personal vision of the story and its characters.

And the official trailer has now arrived. Check it out below:

Here’ the official synopsis:

Following the death of Superman in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Batman and Wonder Woman recruit the Flash, Aquaman, and Cyborg to form the Justice League and protect the world from Steppenwolf and his army of Parademons, who seek the three Mother Boxes.

This new trailer is nothing short of epic and presents a completely new vision on behalf of Snyder. Not only do we finally get to get Henry Cavill’s Superman in the Black Suit, but we also get to see a newly designed Steppenwolf (Ciaran Hinds), alongside the appearance of Darkseid, and audiences also get their first look at a confrontation between Ben Affleck’s Batman and Jared Leto’s Joker in a hellish new landscape.

hile the basic framework of the story is the same, dozens of additional scenes, backstories, mythos, worldbuilding elements, new characters, and teases for upcoming films are present in Snyder’s version but not the theatrical release. This includes new scenes with characters including Iris West (Kiersey Clemons), the love interest to Barry Allen/The Flash, alongside Slade Wilson/Deathstroke (Joe Manganiello), who will be given new material to work with by Snyder.

This first glimpse of Zack Snyder’s Justice League is incredible to behold, and Snyder has also confirmed that the film will be presented as a one-shot event movie, instead of the four-part series that was initially rumoured.

Zack Snyder’s Justice League will arrive on HBO Max on March 18.

The mission is a go as Hollywood megastar Tom Cruise returns as daredevil super spy Ethan Hunt in the sixth installment of the Mission: Impossible franchise, Mission: Impossible – Fallout and Cruise raises the bar and takes the action genre to a whole new level here.

When an IMF mission ends badly, the world suddenly faces dire consequences. Feeling responsible for the fallout, Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise) personally takes it upon himself to complete the mission, but the CIA begins to question his loyalty and his motives. Finding himself in a race against time, while being pursued by a host of ruthless assassins, Ethan will have to use every bit of his considerable willpower to complete the mission and stop a global catastrophe.

Cruise is back for this, his sixth installment, of the long-running Mission: Impossible series and he has again found the edge of the action genre and decided to push it even further. Whenever you hear that Tom Cruise wants to return as Ethan Hunt you know that he’s ready to step things up a notch. And the bar keeps getting raised. From hanging upside down in the middle of CIA headquarters to free soloing in Moab, Utah to performing a full fulcrum swing dive in Shanghai and running around the edge of the Burj Khalifa before finally deciding to hang outside on the edge of a Atlas C1, Cruise absolutely knows no limits as Ethan Hunt and with each successive installment he plans to go bigger and bolder.

Why you ask? Not only does this stem from his desire to offer his audience the best possible time out at the movies, but I personally feel that to Cruise the Mission: Impossible franchise are his most personal film works. So much of himself as a performer and a man is wrapped up in the character of Ethan Hunt and that’s exactly where we come to in Mission: Impossible – Fallout. While the stunts and narrative will really have you wrapped up, here we get to discover what really makes Ethan Hunt tick and why he’s willing to risk his life so many times over for the sake of the world. What we discover is a profoundly moving answer and it will really make you more thankful that a man like Ethan Hunt is on our side. Cruise gives 110% and then some with this performance and he truly succeeds in entertaining his audience.

Mission: Impossible – Fallout is film that also brings everything together for the fans and this all stems from Cruise. On the narrative level it goes right back to the first film and threads all of the events of Ethan Hunt’s life back together. It’s a very ambitious move for Cruise to lead the film in this direction but it really pays off and once more allows us to go in deeper on the character of Ethan Hunt.

But Mission: Impossible – Fallout is not simply a one man show as it takes a team of visionaries working together to pull together these gigantic world saving action extravaganzas and that’s exactly where Cruise’s long time collaborator Christopher McQuarrie comes into the frame.

Following up on their work together on Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation, both director and star engage in what is really their first ever direct sequel to a Mission: Impossible film. They kick things off quickly and the action of the narrative ramps up fast. You can see that McQuarrie really wants to deliver on the spectacle that he first offered in Rogue Nation and the director succeeds in pushing the envelope even further. As a director he takes a hand in both the narrative and the action work and under his guidance Mission: Impossible – Fallout is the most practically shot action blockbuster of all time. McQuarrie put the emphasis on the real and the intensity absolutely shows up on screen taking your breath away with each new scene.

Along with his talents for narrative and action, McQuarrie also has an eye for talent and this led him to cast Henry Cavill as the antagonistic August Walker, a brutal CIA assassin who definitely has an axe to grind with Hunt. Cavill’s Walker stands in direct comparison to Cruise’s Hunt, as a hulking brute of a man Walker has no qualms about using blunt force to achieve his missions objectives and has little time for the ‘Halloween tricks’ of the IMF as he likes to call them. This puts him in direct opposition to Cruise’s Hunt and the firework do fly.

Cavill’s performance is his best yet and I’m not just talking about his scene-stealing mustache here. He really goes for it as Walker and his presence is an intimidating one at that. You completely buy him as the assassin sent in to ‘mind’ the IMF and Cavill does a great job at changing certain parts of the mission to suit his own agenda. I’m always interested to see an actor try something different and move to stretch themselves in the performance of their craft and that’s exactly what Cavill does here.

Along with the introduction of Cavill we also see the return of Rebecca Furguson as MI6 operative Ilsa Faust and this time Ilsa is pursuing her own agenda. While I can’t really go into details on her character’s involvement without running the risk of leading to spoilers I will say that her presence here offers plenty of new choices for Ethan and sparks do indeed fly. This introduction of a good dose of underlying romance really changes things up for Ethan this time and Ilsa’s presence is an interesting story thread. Naturally Ferguson again offers up a great performance and proves why she is becoming a vital part of the Mission: Impossible franchise.

And of-course your favourites are back as well. Once again Simon Pegg and the ever dependable Ving Rhames prove why they are stalwarts of the Mission: Impossible franchise. These two misfits really make up the heart of the franchise and any time they’re up on screen I always find myself smiling a little wider.

But now lets move to a more serious topic. You said you wanted action? YOU GOT IT! As an exercise in filmmaking Mission: Impossible – Fallout is the most practically shot action blockbuster ever made. Forget green screens. Forget stunt doubles. This is Tom Cruise in action, up on the big screen and absolutely going for it. And he truly holds nothing back this time. From a death defying HALO (High Altitude Low Opening) jump to a gnarly motorbike chase around the Arc de Triomphe to the stunt to end all stunts in the ambitious Helicopter chase, Mission: Impossible – Fallout has it all. Trust me when I tell you to strap yourself into your chair because your adrenal gland is going to be working overtime with this one.

While I’m trying to hold back on what occurs on screen I will say that the Helicopter Chase scene which was shot down in Queenstown, New Zealand is a truly exceptional piece of filmmaking. You’ve never seen anything like this before and I can’t think of anyone brave enough or indeed crazy enough to jump into it like Tom Cruise. Every single moment has Cruise at the throttle and he really takes you for a ride in this one. This is a countdown of nail-biting adrenaline as the action ramps up and up and up. With this scene you’re truly witnessing the genius of Cruise and McQuarrie and it’s a rush.

If you’re looking for an action experience to take you to the next level then you’ll definitely find it with Mission: Impossible – Fallout! This is a blockbuster made of pure adrenaline and it’s exactly what the movies were meant for and trust me when I say that it really is one hell of a fun ride.

Tom Cruise is ready to come full circle as super spy Ethan Hunt in the much anticipated sixth installment of the Mission: Impossible franchise, Mission: Impossible – Fallout. The new trailer has finally arrived and its explosive visuals and death defying set pieces promise a cinematic experience that will push your adrenal gland into overdrive.

Check out the full trailer below:

Here’s the synopsis:

When an IMF mission ends badly, the world suddenly faces dire consequences. Feeling responsible for the fallout, Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise) personally takes it upon himself to complete the mission, but the CIA begins to question his loyalty and his motives. Finding himself in a race against time, while being pursued by a host of ruthless assassins, Ethan will have to use every bit of his considerable willpower to complete the mission and stop a global catastrophe.

Action’s the name of the game with Mission: Impossible – Fallout and this new trailer is packed to the brim with it.

Motorcycle chases, gun fights, close quarter combat, and one hell of a helicopter ride promise what could very well be the ultimate spy thriller. Tom Cruise has been portraying Ethan Hunt for twenty-two years now and he really wants to do this sixth installment of the franchise right. It’s go big or go home here and he’s leaving all of his cards on the table with this one.

Narratively this film is going right back to the beginning and again pitting Cruise’s Hunt up against the CIA just like he did back in 1996’s Mission: Impossible. Except this time he’ll have to contend with ally turned adversary August Walker (Henry Cavill) a lethal black ops assassin who has been tasked to keep Hunt and the IMF in-line or eliminate them if they pose a threat.

Mixed into this is Rebecca Ferguson’s Ilsa Faust who begins to question just how rationale Hunt is and this will no-doubt lead to some heavy drama. Simon Pegg and Ving Rhames are also back as hacker odd-couple Benji Dunn and Luther Stickell, and anytime you know these two are on-screen it’s going to be good.

From the first trailer to the recent behind-the-scenes look at the title sequence, director Christopher McQuarrie has slowly been offering an insight into the latest installment of the franchise. What he showcases is a film that appears to be the best representation of the what the Mission: Impossible franchise is along with seriously upping the ante for the character of Ethan Hunt and fans of the character. Everything in Fallout is laid out on the line for Hunt and there’s no place for any kind of mistakes. he’s playing for keeps this time and the intensity really mounts up quickly.

This intensity is especially seen in the film’s full on action sequences which come rushing at you and don’t ease up for a second. From a high speed motorcycle chase through the streets of Paris to a brutal fight scene of Cruise and Cavill going mano-o-mano on the top of a mountain which leads to one hell of a fall. The action just ramps up second by second and this can only be good for film fans.

The new trailer for Mission: Impossible – Fallout really got me amped and I certainly was blown away by the action that unfolded before me. Check out my full reaction trailer below and let me know what you thought it:

Mission: Impossible – Fallout promises to be an absolute rush on the big screen and you won’t to miss it when it arrives in cinemas on August 2.

Tom Cruise is back as Ethan Hunt and this time the action is even more intense in what will surely be one of 2018’s biggest blockbusters: Mission: Impossible – Fallout.

The brand new trailer has just been released and you can check out all of its incredible moments below:

Here’s the synopsis:

When an IMF mission ends badly, the world suddenly faces dire consequences. Feeling responsible for the fallout, Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise) personally takes it upon himself to complete the mission, but the CIA begins to question his loyalty and his motives. Finding himself in a race against time, while being pursued by a host of ruthless assassins, Ethan will have to use every bit of his considerable willpower to complete the mission and stop a global catastrophe.

If you’re looking for action then you’ll find it with Mission: Impossible – Fallout. This is blockbuster entertainment on a huge canvas and Cruise has definitely out-did himself with this one. Not only do we get a compelling story, but director Christopher McQuarrie has also stated that the film will also serve to explain Ethan’s origins and just how they made him the man he is today.

In addition to Cruise, the new trailer also shines a light on Henry Cavill’s August Walker. As soon as Cavill was cast his moustache got some serious attention and this intense CIA operative looks like he’ll serve as both ally and antagonist to Ethan Hunt with the two of them trading blows on more than one occasion within the trailer.

However, if there is one thing that definitely caught my attention then it had to have been the film’s epic helicopter stunt! Described as ‘the stunt to end all stunts’ by Cruise, the first footage of this mid-air helicopter battle looks utterly intense and will carve out the way for one hell of a climactic action scene.

Check out my full reaction to the trailer below and find out just what I’m excited to see from this awesome new film:

Mission: Impossible – Fallout is must watch cinema at its best and long-time spy genre fans will definitely be salivating with this one when it is released in cinemas on August 2.

In what is the most anticipated cinematic event of the year, visual mastermind Zack Snyder brings to life the DC Cinematic Universe with grand scope and scale, and an amazing commitment to precise detail. For fans who have been waiting a long time to see this universe brought to life, you won’t be disappointed.

Fearing the actions of a god-like superhero left unchecked, Gotham City’s own formidable, forceful vigilante takes on Metropolis’s most revered, modern-day saviour, while the world wrestles with what sort of hero it really needs. And with Batman and Superman at war with one another, a new threat quickly arises, putting mankind in greater danger than it’s ever known before.

5. Zack Snyder – A director’s passion

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice feels like Snyder’s masterpiece, and with every frame of this gorgeously shot film you can sense his true passion and love for the characters. Snyder stays true to the spirit of the original source material, crafting a daring film that fans deserve. His direction is inspiring, not to mention his decision to take risks in order to provide an original interpretation of the iconic characters.

4. Gal Gadot – Amazonian Princess

Fans have long desired to see Diana Princess of Themyscira on screen, and it’s a relief to say that she has been brought to life with passion, glamour and a warrior’s edge. Whether as Diana Prince or Wonder Woman, Gal Gadot makes for a commanding screen presence, capturing the spirit of Wonder Woman for a brand new cinema-going audience. With Gadot as the mighty hero, audiences will come to look up to this epic character and the grand position that she holds in the DC Universe.

3. A comic book come to life

With furious energy, masterful cinematography, and a dynamic and tight visual palette, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is a literal comic book come to life. Fans of legendary comic artists such as Jim Lee, Frank Miller, George Perez, and Neal Adams will be stunned by the action on screen, and the way in which actors Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill and Gal Gadot have brought these iconic characters to life. Nothing is wasted in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, and you see every dollar on screen, which makes for a visually arresting and immersive film experience that sucks audiences right into the heart of the action.

2. Jesse Eisnberg – boy genius

If there’s one character who single-handedly steals the film then it’s Jesse Eisenberg’s Lex Luthor — a thoroughly obsessive billionaire whose intensity is absolutely manic. Eisenberg is all over the show, and this helps to bolster Luthor’s eclectic, analytical mind which is working a mile a minute on his grand scheme to bring Metropolis’ greatest hero to his knees. With his very different interpretation of Luthor, and the lengths that he goes as the character, we can’t think of anyone better suited than Eisenberg.

1. The Dark Knight returns

When Ben Affleck was first announced to be playing Bruce Wayne/Batman, there were some who doubted he could ever pull off the role of the Dark Knight. Well not only does he pull it off, but Affleck has crafted the most definitive and dark Batman we’ve ever seen on screen. His channeling of the dual conflict and identity that lies at the heart of Bruce Wayne/Batman drives Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice forward. Brooding, calculating, obsessive and a physically imposing beast, Affleck’s Batman is an unstoppable force of nature who will destroy anyone that attempts to take the life or freedom of another, delivering his judgement with extreme prejudice. The night does indeed belong to the Bat, and Dawn of Justice succeeds on the complete commitment of its lead star.
