Ryan Gosling undertakes a wild space odyssey in ‘Project Hail Mary’

Astronaut Ryland Grace (Ryan Gosling) awakens on a spacecraft with no memory of himself or his mission. He slowly deduces he is the sole survivor of a crew sent to the Tau Ceti solar system in search of a solution to a catastrophic event on Earth. In his search for answers, Grace must rely on his vast array of scientific knowledge, sheer ingenuity, and human will – but he may not have to search alone.
Following on from its debut teaser trailer, which amassed over 400 million views across social media, and became the most-watched movie trailer of 2025, we now have all new look at an incredibly different and exciting space thriller that sees everyman astronaut Ryland Grace given a near impossible mission to save Earth, and it’s a journey that sends him to the far corners of the universe, and the excitement quickly ramps up.
Adapted from the best selling novel by Andy Weir, who also happened to write The Martian, Project Hail Mary brings a brilliant mix of drama, comedy, action and science fiction as Gosling’s Ryland finds himself on the edge of the known universe, and with an unexpected friend in the form of alien astronaut ‘Rocky’, both of whom have to put their trust in each other to save their respective planets, and in the process, Ryland might just learn what the truth of being human really means.
The ambience and atmosphere of Project Hail Mary is simply awesome, and this is a story that audiences will find themselves lost in, and its great to see Gosling getting to push himself in a new direction and once again showcase bis comedic timing and ability to handle complex, multi-layered characters.
This new trailer readies the excitement for Project Hail Mary, and directors Phil Lord and Christopher Miller have produced a film of wonder, intrigue and joy, and which will also deliver on a few surprise secrets that will give audiences a real blockbuster rush.
