When it comes to stylish thrillers filmmaker Paul Feig delivers the gold standard. In 2025 alone he’s already delivered the freaky, but fabulous Another Simple Favor, and now he’s ready for round two with The Housemaid. And this is a thriller that will shake audiences with it’s unpredictability and sheer barking-mad crazy.

Watch the all-new trailer for The Housemaid below:

Here’s the official synopsis:

Millie Calloway (Sydney Sweeney), a young woman with a troubled past who became a live-in housemaid for a wealthy family, however, their seemingly perfect life unravels when she discovers their household hides dark secrets beneath the surface.

Adapted from the best-selling book by Freida McFadden, The Housemaid brings together some of the best talent working in Hollywood today with Sydney Sweeney, Amanda Seyfried, Brandon Sklenar and Michele Morrone, and celebrated filmmaker Paul Feig is taking the intensity to a whoile new level with this story of polished perfection, and a boiling insanity and literal ‘living hell’ that loies beneath, and auiences will certainly jump with this one.

The new trailer gives audiences a great picture of what awaits in The Housemaids, but it doesn’t dive into any specific plot points that could lead to spoilers; instead, it focuses on the sheer shock and dramatic upheaval that awaits.

This first look trailer specifically highlights the relationship shared between Sydney Sweeney’s Millie and Amanda Seyfried’s Nina, and things get fraught quickly. While Seyfried’s Nina has the overall appearance of the perfect housewife and mother, it soon becomes apparent that there’s much scarier, darker forces at play in her damaged psyche…. and it’s all going to end in tears.

We’re particularly hyped for Paul Feig’s new vision with The Housemaid, and this is going to be a thriller with serious edge, and it’s going to bring plenty of spice to cinemas when it arrives this Christmas.
