His absurdist filmmaking stykle marks him out as a director on his completely own level and now he’s returning with two-time Academy Award winner, and longtime must, Emma Stone for the totally bonkers, what-the-fuck absurdist-black-comedy-thriller Bugonia.

Here’s the official synopsis:
Two conspiracy-obsessed young men kidnap the high-powered CEO of a major company, convinced that she is an alien intent on destroying planet Earth.
Inspired by South Korean film Save the Green Planet! by Jang Joon-hwan, Bugonia takes what was a quirky, off-beat comedy and flips it in a whole other level, and the result is a completely bat-shit, conspiracy laden, battle of wills between Emma Stone high-powered executive Michelle Fuller, who is kidnapped by wanton conspiracist Teddy (Jesse Plemons), who claims she is an alien bent on Earth’s destruction… and it just gets weirder from there.
This new trailer gives absolutely nothing away, but primes audiences for the intensity and straight up weirdness that is to come, and already Bugonia is geting raging reviews and fans who are looking for an oddball treat will be delivered something truly unforgettable with this one.
