It’s about to get big for ‘Hobbs & Shaw’
Dwayne Johnson. Jason Statham. Idris Elba. If you’re wanting three of the coolest, classiest and most badass actors on the planet well, you’ve got them here, and all three action stars are ready to take us for a ride in the full-on adrenaline rush that will be Fast and Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw.
This spin-off from the Fast and the Furious franchise will follow U.S. D.S.S. agent Luke Hobbs (Johnson) who is forced into an uneasy alliance with former adversary, turned unlikely alley, Spec Ops special agent Deckard Shaw (Statham). Together this heavy hitting pair will have to take on their toughest opponent yet in the form of Brixton (Elba), a terrorist mastermind who is ready to cause destruction on an unprecedented level.
If you’re looking for high-flying, in-your-face, adrenaline charged action then you’ll definitely get it here. Not only is the film being directed by action mastermind David Leitch (Deadpool 2, Atomic Blonde), but the film also packs out a supporting cast that includes Vanessa Kirby as Deckard’s younger sister and MI6 operative Hattie Shaw and Eiza González as the mysterious Madam M.
Johnson has been posting regular updates about the film on his Instagram and his latest post has himself, Statham and Elba all standing at attention and ready to bring it.
I’m well amped for this testosterone ride and can’t wait for the action of that first trailer.
Fast & Furious presents: Hobbs and Shaw will be released in cinemas this year on August 1.
