HBO’s ‘Euphoria’ is back, and its about to get wild, raunchy and soulful in its third season
We’re so back with the return of HBO’s Euphoria, the groundbreaking and controversial series that examined teenage life in the 2020s. The show pushed the boundaries by exploring identity, sex, drug use, and emotional complexity. It also cemented its cast as some of the biggest rising stars.
Now Season Three is set to arrive this April. Showrunner Sam Levinson is constructing a new narrative that brings ideas of faith, sin, and evil under the microscope, particularly in relation to the series’ key character and narrator, Ruby “Rue” Bennett (Zendaya). Rue’s in a whole heap of trouble this time, making her past escapades look like child’s play. High school is over, and real life awaits. It’s about to become a swirling, messy, dramatic, and outrageous narrative of change and development. Audiences are going to be in for something totally wild.
Check out the all-new trailer for Euphoria below:
Set in a post-pandemic world, the social cohesion of high school no longer applies. Temptations and total freedoms of the real world now await. Our principal characters—Rue, Alexis “Lexi” Howard (Maude Apatow), Nathaniel “Nate” Jacobs (Jacob Elordi), Madeleine “Maddy” Perez (Alexa Demie), Cassandra “Cassie” Howard (Sydney Sweeney), and Jules Vaughn (Hunter Schafer) are now all fending for themselves out in the real world. And shit’s about to get real! The new trailer only offers a tease at what awaits in Season Three of Euphoria. It’s pretty clear it’s about to get damn messy, and audiences will have to embrace the shocks on the way.
Along with our young cast, who are about to learn just how bad the fallout from action and consequence can be, this new trailer for Season Three also highlights the presence of two of the show’s strongest acting talents. Colman Domingo appears as Ali Muhammed, who again serves as Rue’s conscience and steadfastly confronts her on her severe and tragic choices. The series will also feature Eric Dane as Cal Jacobs in his final on-screen appearance following his tragic death.
The drama is going to arrive in a blindingly hot fire of emotion and presence. Euphoria is about to triple down on controversy and edge. We’re well up for it!
Season Three of Euphoria will stream on NEON from April 13.
