Sparks will fly, and lipstick will be left all over the sheets, because the all-new season of Disney+’s Rivals is back, and this time the debauchery is about to go diabolical as we return to the county of Rutshire for a new chapter of Dame Jilly Cooper’s Rivals…. and it’s about to get HOT!

Watch the brand new teaser trailer for Rivals Season Two below:

Best described as the naughtiest show on television, Rivals was an instant success when it debuted on Hulu and Disney+, and brought audiences back to the bonkbuster salaciousness and scandals of the mi-1980s, and audiences were smitten with this rollicking good time.

Now the action is about to get hotter as Season Two looms and noted rogue and rebel Rupert Campbell-Black (Alex Hassell) and is locked into a battle of wits and wills with his arch rival, the conniving and malicious Tony, Lord Baddingham (David Tennant), for control and power of the media and money machine of Rutshire, and it’s all about to get saucy.

The battle for the Central South West television franchise reaches a fever pitch as the war between Corinium and Venturer enters a dangerous new phase. More ruthless than ever, Tony Baddingham (David Tennant) is determined to dismantle his rivals piece-by-piece, weaponising scandal and manipulating those closest to him to maintain his grip on power.

Amidst the hedonistic glamour of 80s excess, the personal lives of our Rutshire heroes spiral into chaos. Marriages fracture under the weight of ambition, illicit affairs threaten to shatter families, and long-buried secrets ignite with explosive consequences. As rivalries push everyone to the brink, loyalties are tested and hearts are broken in the pursuit of victory. But what is the true cost of war?

Season One ended on a hell of a shocking twist, and those twists are going to keep on coming, as new characters come to the forefront including the return of Campbell-Black’s ex-wife, and the mother of his two children Helen Gordon (Hayley Atwell), and it’s about to make things a lot more complicated for Rupert and his new romantic interest in the impressionable Agatha ‘Taggie’ O’Hara (Bella Maclean).
