Walt Disney Pictures is on a roll with its development of live action adaptations of classic animated films, and now rumours suggest Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs could be next.
The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed that The Girl on the Train screenwriter Erin Cressida Wilson is in final negotiations to pen the live-action adaptation, and also reported that songwriters Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, who recently worked on La La Land, will be composing new music for the film.
Released in 1937, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs is regarded as a landmark achievement in cinematic history, and is also recognised as the film that propelled Walt Disney to greatness. With the level of artistry and talent working at the studio today, we’re very excited about the possibilities that await any future adaptation.
