Before Harvard Law, there was high school, and Elle is taking us all the way back to 1995. Enter a younger Elle Woods (Lexi Minetree), who suddenly finds herself ripped from the sun-soaked ease of Bel Air and dropped into the grey, grunge-heavy chaos of Seattle. It’s culture shock dialled all the way up — and yes, she has to deal with flannel, rain, and the existential dread of grunge.
But where others might fold, Elle adapts. Expect plenty of fish-out-of-water comedy, layered teen drama, and a whole wardrobe of pretty-in-pink rebellion as she begins to carve out her identity in a world that doesn’t quite get her… yet.
Newcomer Lexi Minetree steps into the legendary heels of Elle Woods with confidence and charm, capturing a softer, more uncertain version of the character we know and love. But make no mistake, this is the beginning of a glow-up. Following in Reese Witherspoon’s footsteps, Minetree charts Elle’s evolution into the self-assured force we know is coming.
Backing her up is a killer supporting cast, including June Diane Raphael and Tom Everett Scott as her parents, Eva and Dr. Wyatt Woods, while the late James Van Der Beek makes his final on-screen appearance as Dean Wilson. And yes — Bruiser Woods is back, because some icons are simply non-negotiable.
