Now, after more than 63 years, The Fantastic Four is set to arrive back on the big screen and make a splash in the Marvel Cinematic Universe…and it’s an announcement that will make for an unmissable cinematic event.

There’s been an incredible level of speculation as to who would make it into the cast of The Fantastic Four; on this Valentine’s Day, we got a very special treat with Marvel Studios confirming the cast of The Fantastic Four, which will include:

  • Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards/Mister Fantastic
  • Vanessa Kirby as Susan Storm/The Invisible Woman
  • Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm/The Human Torch
  • Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm/The Thing

Alongside confirming the cast, Marvel Studios confirmed that the film will be a period piece set in 1963, and gave audiences a first look at the cast in the following graphic image, with a special message on Valentine’s Day released on Instagram:

The news of the cast announcement went viral, and I’m thrilled to confirm that we were all delighted with the performers and the accompanying graphic. These talented actors are sure to bring something fresh to their characters and keep the excitement and humour of Marvel Comics’ first family alive.

Matt Shakman, a seasoned Marvel Studios director, will be at the helm of the project, and his enthusiasm and passion for the movie is sure to shine through on the big screen. Although there’s no information about the main villain, fans of the comics are eagerly anticipating the possible appearance of Doctor Doom, the original arch-nemesis of Marvel Comics, and are hoping to see him make his way onto the silver screen.

It’s an exciting time to be a Marvel fan with both the impending arrival of Deadpool & Wolverine this July. Now, with the announcement of The Fantastic Four making their way to the big screen, there’s sure to be plenty of excitement to look forward to when the MCU’s first family arrive in cinemas on July 25, 2025.
