Steven Spielberg builds out eerie suspense with ‘Disclosure Day’
2026 is here, and leading the charge with what is shaping up to be one of the year’s moist exciting releases is acclaimed filmmaker and Academy Award-winner Steven Speilberg’s Disclosure Day, which has now released a cryptic first trailer, and which promises a new direction of first contact that audiences will be pulled right into.

Here’s the official synopsis:
If you found out we weren’t alone, if someone showed you, proved it to you, would that frighten you? This June, the truth belongs to seven billion people. We are coming close to … Disclosure Day.
While the teaser trailer is itself a rather cryptic watch, and gives you a taste of the atmosphere of Disclosure Day, with its focus zeroing in on a you g father (Josh O’Connor) and a noted celebrity meteorologist reporter (Emily Blunt) being revealed as not all thy appear to be.
Spielberg has joined forces with noted screenwriter David Koepp to produce this original tale of UFOs and first encounters, and its packed out with that classic sense of Spielbergian wonder and awe that we have all come to know and love. While any sense of a real direction of the narrative is not revealed, you do get a sense as to the atmosphere of the production, and Disclosure Day is looks packed full of drama, mystery, suspense and action, and it’s certainly going to be an experience up on the big screen.
Get ready for the truth to be revealed when Disclosure Day arrives in cinemas on June 11.
