Here’s the official synopsis:
The Terminal List: Dark Wolf is a prequel series with an origin story that follows Ben Edwards (Taylor Kitsch) throughout his journey from the Navy SEALs to the clandestine side of CIA Special Operations. The series is an espionage thriller that explores the darker side of warfare and the human cost that comes with it.
Celebrated author Jack Carr, alongside showrunner David DiGilio and Terminal List stars Chris Pratt and Taylor Kitsch, have been putting in the work to make Dark Wolf a thrilling experience for audiences, and by the looks of this trailer, they’ve really delivered. The action is incredibly visceral and intense, with plenty of close-quarter gun fights and mayhem being unleashed across Europe, but it’s DiGillio’s focus on the fractured psyche and psychological intensity of Kitsch’s Edwards where this series will really find its mark, and there’s going to be a lot of heavy drama on display.
Dark Wolf is also set to expand the larger canvas of The Terminal List and prepare audiences for the events of the forthcoming second season, which will adapt Carr’s True Believer, and a key new character for the series will be Tom Hopper as Raife Hastings. Hopper brings an incredible presence to the series as the hulking Hastings, a former SEAL, and the wildest character of Carr’s Terminal List series. There’s an edge and punk rock flavour to Hastings, and with Hopper’s jacked presence and focused intensity, he’s sure to leave his mark on audiences.
As with Season One of the runaway hit The Terminal List, authenticity is a core pillar of The Terminal List: Dark Wolf – with military veterans contributing as writers, actors, on-set technical advisors, and executive producers, the series is committed to portraying the mindset, brotherhood, and moral complexity of Special Operations with respect and realism.
Audiences had better brace themselves for action when The Terminal List: Dark Wolf arrives on Prime Video on August 27.
