To live is to fight… to fight is to live.

The buzz is about to hit the stratosphere thanks to the brand new trailer for Street Fighter has audiences amped, and promises an utterly mental watch in cinemas this year!

Check it out the all-new trailer for Street Fighter below:

Here’s the official synopsis:

Set in 1993, estranged Street Fighters Ryu (Andrew Koji) and Ken Masters (Noah Centineo) are thrown back into combat when the mysterious Chun-Li (Callina Liang) recruits them for the next World Warrior Tournament: a brutal clash of fists, fate, and fury. But behind this battle royale lies a deadly conspiracy that forces them to face off against each other and the demons of their past. And if they don’t, it’s GAME OVER!

Instead of trying to make Street Fighter fit the establishment of today’s blockbuster entertainment style, filmmaker Kitao Sakurai is fully committing to the sheer barking madness of the classic video game, and is bring a real sense of throwback arcade energy to the big scree with Hadoukens, roundhouses, and all your favourite characters all thrown in for good measure.

The core trio of Chun-Li, Ryu and Ken have been captured perfectly and stars Callina Liang, Andrew Koji, and Noah Centineo have really leaned into their respective characters, but more importantly you can completely tell that they’re utterly having a blast with such an outrageous film as Street Fighter, and their energy and enthusiasm really shows through.

Then there’s the fights, and Street Fighter goes for it with the combat, and audiences are in for a hell of a beatdown that doesn’t let up for a moment, and an added layer of pure loco fever to the whole experience of what Street Fighter encompasses, and we’re totally down for it all!

The new trailer also features a previously unreleased version of ‘Ambitionz Az A Ridah’ by Tupac Shakur, which was created specifically for Mike Tyson in the 1990s, and also arrives on the launch of the World Wide Warrior Tour which has kicked off in Tokyo, Japan with the cast in attendance, and fans have been loving it! And then there’s the news that Street Fighter will also be hitting Sydney as well for an exclusive premiere event in the lead up to the film’s release.

Get ready to embrace the fight when Street Fighter arrives in cinemas on October 15.
