That new trailer for Top Gun: Maverick really got us amped and now in a brand new featurette Paramount Pictures takes us behind the action of this long anticipated sequel and it’s shaping up to be one hell of a rush!

Taking audiences inside the cockpit, this new featurette focuses in on the up close and personal style of filmmaking that director Joseph Kosinki and star Tom Cruise are bringing to 2020’s biggest action film, and it’s going to be wild.

Audiences will literally be inside the cockpit of a state-of-the-art F/A-18 Super Hornet with Cruise and the rest of the cast and the team behind Top Gun: Maverick have truly captured some of the most breathtaking aerial footage ever committed to celluloid. This film is truly a testament to the power of aviation and they’ll be plenty of moments to throw you back in your seat.

Here’s the official synopsis:

After more than thirty years of service as one of the Navy’s top aviators, Pete “Maverick” Mitchell (Tom Cruise) is where he belongs, pushing the envelope as a courageous test pilot and dodging the advancement in rank that would ground him. When he finds himself training a detachment of Top Gun graduates for a specialized mission the likes of which no living pilot has ever seen, Maverick encounters Lt. Bradley Bradshaw (Miles Teller), call sign: “Rooster,” the son of Maverick’s late friend and Radar Intercept Officer Lt. Nick Bradshaw, aka “Goose.”

Facing an uncertain future and confronting the ghosts of his past, Maverick is drawn into a confrontation with his own deepest fears, culminating in a mission that demands the ultimate sacrifice from those who will be chosen to fly it.
