The exhilarating rush of ‘Top Gun: Maverick’ arrives in new trailer
Get ready to feel the need for speed because a brand new trailer has arrived for Top Gun: Maverick and this one absolutely goes for it with plenty of hotshot action and some incredible aerial footage that puts megastar Tom Cruise right back into the danger zone.

After more than thirty years of service as one of the Navy’s top aviators, Pete “Maverick” Mitchell (Tom Cruise) is where he belongs, pushing the envelope as a courageous test pilot and dodging the advancement in rank that would ground him. When he finds himself training a detachment of Top Gun graduates for a specialized mission the likes of which no living pilot has ever seen, Maverick encounters Lt. Bradley Bradshaw (Miles Teller), call sign: “Rooster,” the son of Maverick’s late friend and Radar Intercept Officer Lt. Nick Bradshaw, aka “Goose.”
Facing an uncertain future and confronting the ghosts of his past, Maverick is drawn into a confrontation with his own deepest fears, culminating in a mission that demands the ultimate sacrifice from those who will be chosen to fly it.
Building off of its first teaser trailer, this new trailer really opens up the scale of Top Gun: Maverick and focuses in on the passing of the torch of the famed Naval Fighter Weapons School as the elusive and enigmatic Captain Pete ‘Maverick’ Mitchell (Cruise), instructs a whole new generation of Naval aviators in the dying art of aerial dog fighting including that of Lieutenant Bradley ‘Rooster’ Bradshaw (Miles Teller), the son of his late RIO officer and best friend Lieutenant Nick ‘Goose’ Bradshaw (Anthony Edwards), who has a serious of a chip on his shoulder.
Director Joseph Kosinki, builds out the epic nature of the film in this new trailer and fans are treated to some absolutely incredible aerial footage that puts you right up into the heart of the action of this new generation of fighter jets, which sees Maverick behind the controls of a F/A-18 Super Hornet.
Your adrenaline will be pushed to the limit here and there’s plenty to get excited about with all of its high speed and the thumping score of the legendary composers Harold Faltermeyer and Hans Zimmer.
