Blonde goes grunge in the all-new trailer for Prime Video’s ‘Elle’
On the cusp of its 25 year anniversary, Legally Blonde is more iconic than ever, with the character of Reese Witherspoon’s super fab Elle Woods resonating with women across the generations, and now Prime Video and Hello Sunshine are ready to turn the clock back as these step back to the mid-90s and lock in on Elle’s origin in Prime Video’s Elle…. and if Elle thought Harvard was hard, High School was an altogether different struggle.

Season One of Elle follows Elle Woods before she was a fish-out-of-water at Harvard. We meet her in 1995 as a fish in the tumultuous waters of high school where she encounters tricky friendships, forbidden romance, and questionable fashion choices. Through it all, Elle uses her family as a touchstone, and forms an even tighter bond to her mother, proving that they can get through anything life throws their way as long as they have each other. With each challenge she faces, Elle grows closer to the Elle Woods we know and love today.
Building on from the previous trailer, this new look at Elle takes audiences further into her journey as she has to navigate the journey from sunny Bel Air to anti-establishment, grunge Seattle, and pink just ain’t on the menu this time. Fighting peer pressure hormones, home sickness, and desperately trying to find her place in the world, it’s a lot to take on for Elle, and just like Legally Blonde this new series is an exercise in self-belief and discovery and young Elle is going to undergo quite a chance, all while never straying from her blonde, pink, and plain fabulous identity.
Comedy, drama, high-school hijinks and intriguing mystery all run wild through this new trailer for Elle, and there’s a lot to grab the audiences attention here. Lexi Minetree steps up in na big way as Elle, and does Reece and the character proud, showcasing a bubbly personality, along with a deep seated emotional vulnerability and in Elle we’ll see a deep sense of growth in her character as Elle, she’s also matched by June Diane Raphael as Eva Woods andTom Everett Scott as Wyatt Woods, Elle’s mother and father, with each of them perfectly cast, and Elle will focus in deeply on relationship shared between mother and daughter and they’ll be real moments present.
ALong with the news of all eight episodes of Elle arriving on Prime Video on July 1, it’s also been confirmed that Elle star Lexi Minetree will be coming downunder for an exclusive Sydney premiere event in July on the final stop of the shows’ world press tour, and a special Sydney launch event will be held featuring Minetree, that will gives fans and media the opportunity to talk all things Legally Blonde and celebrate this iconic character and franchise.
