When it comes to visual cinematic masters they don’t come bigger or more impressive than Sir Ridley Scott. With a stunning list of credits including Gladiator, Alien, Thelma and Louise, Kingdom of Heaven and All the Money in the World, Scott is a filmmaker who continues to push the craft into new boundaries and his new medieval epic The Last Duel is a piece of cinema to get very excited about.

In 14th-century France, knight Jean de Carrouges (Matt Damon) and his squire Jacques Le Gris (Adam Driver) are ordered to fight to the death after Carrouges accuses Le Gris of raping his wife.
