‘House of the Dragon’ announces release date
After much speculation, it’s now official that HBO’s much-anticipated Game of Thrones prequel, House of the Dragon, has confirmed its official release date and fantasy fans aching for swords, sorcery and dragons will be very pleased to learn that it will arrive on screen on August 22.
Based on George R.R. Martin’s ‘Fire & Blood’ novel, the series, set 200 years before the events of Game of Thrones, House of the Dragon tells the story of House Targaryen and the troubling times that will fall upon it due to internal conflict and the machinations of power.
This ten-episode series has a stellar cast including the likes of Paddy Considine, Matt Smith, Olivia Cooke, Emma D’Arcy, Steve Toussaint, Eve Best, Sonoya Mizuno, Fabien Frankel, and Rhys Ifans, and will explore a bold new landscape of Westeros when the great Dragon Banner of House Targaryen ruled the land.
