Jacob Elordi is fast becoming a go-to star, and with good reason, as he continually pushes himself to take on projects that test out his dramatic chops and offer him roles that test him as an actor. One of his most intriguing projects is Prime Video’s adaptation of Richard Flanagan’s Booker Prize-winning novel, the beautifully moving WWII romance The Narrow Road to the Deep North. And we now have a fuller look at what waits in the series.

Debuting on Prime Video’s Instagram channels, Elordi fans were treated to a new look at the series, including a new poster and feature images, and this was in line with the production world premiere at the 2025 Berlin International Film Festival. It was Elordi’s first appearance at the Festival, and the young actor was genuinely moved and proud to be in attendance at the event, celebrating a uniquely Australian story that means a lot to him.

These new-look images showcase the evolving love and solace that Elordi’s scarred WWII veteran Dorrigo Evans finds in the arms of Amy Mulvaney (Odessa Young), and the passionate love affair that grows between them even as Evans’s nightmarish past as P.O.W. at the hands of the Japanese threatens to destroy any future happiness he could hope to find.

The Narrow Road to the Deep North promises to be an incredibly moving and intensely passionate streaming event and has assembled a cast of some of the best international talent working today with the likes of Ciarán Hinds, Heather Mitchell, Thomas Weatherall, Show Kasamatsu, Taki Abe and Simon Baker joining the assembled cast.

Shot in New South Wales, The Narrow Road to the Deep North is an intimate character study of a complex man, a compelling portrayal of the courage and cruelty of war, and an unforgettable love story that sustains one through the darkest of times.

The Narrow Road to the Deep North is set to premiere on Prime Video on April 18.
