Will Smith steps out as The Genie in ‘Aladdin’
Guy Ritchie’s live-action adaptation of Aladdin is one of this year’s most anticipated blockbuster releases, and now we have some wonderful new footage that showcases the film in all its magical glory.

The new spot gives us a sneak peak at Aladdin’s journey into the heart of danger as he desires to find the magical lamp, along with giving us a new look at the nefarious sorcerer Jafar (Marwan Kenzari) and the regal Princess Jasmine (Naomi Scott).
But it’s superstar Will Smith who really steals the show here as The Genie and finally for the first time we get to see him in his magical blue glory.
With a good dose of adventure and romance and a magnificent score from the likes of Alan Menken, along with the presence of celebrated songwriters Pasek & Paul (La La Land, The Greatest Showman), Aladdin is going to be one movie that really entertains.
Here’s the official synopsis:
When noble Agrabahan street thief Aladdin (Mena Massoud) stumbles upon a magic lamp and the Genie (Will Smith) who lives inside of it he suddenly finds himself swept up into the adventure of a lifetime.
Packed with magic and filled with colour, Aladdin will be something truly extraordinary when it arrives in cinemas on May 23.
