Oh yeah brother, it’s happening, Chris Hemsworth is ready to step into the ring to bring to life the true story of the legendary Hulk Hogan’s rise to fame and glory inside the WWF,
The Hollywood Reporter confirmed that Hemsworth will take on the title role of Hulk Hogan in the brand new biopic for Netflix and that Todd Field, who is currently finishing up work on the much anticipated Joker, is on board to direct.
The new film will chart the Hulkster’s rise to fame and glory inside the ring and Hemsworth is sure to get all swole and tanned as the legendary figure who defined professional wrestling in the 1980s and led the way in what it meant to have badass swagger.
Hogan has long stated that he’d hope that Hemsworth would portray him in a film and he’s finally getting his wish with this big-budget film which will be directed by Phillips and which has been months in the making.
While we have no confirmed release date yet, it’s certainly going to be an exciting time with this feature and we can’t wait to see what comes next.
